Very happy with the product – initially upon plugging the keyboard there was a small hiccup in which multiple keystrokes registered from a single keypress, but that issue seemed to resolve of its own accord within minutes (I am not sure why this may have happened). Apart from that it is a great keyboard.

Service was excellent and arrived very quickly.

K8 RGB Hot-Swap Clicky
I wanted to reduce the wire clutter on the desk so started using an Apple Magic keyboard but it’s so thin there’s almost no travel to the keys as one types. And so started my voyage of discovery into mechanical keyboards – actually it’s more of a rediscovery because this K8 really takes me back to the late ’80s when mechanical was all there was.
Only used with the MacBook Pro so far but it works brilliantly, does everything I want and once I’d figured out the trick to toggle the F5F6 function so they act like proper function keys I was really happy.
The keyboard itself has just the right amount of key travel and resistance and, as I work alone, the click is just the best.
Thoroughly recommend one – just be aware of the physical height of it because prolonged typing will get uncomfortable without a wrist rest.
Can’t fault The Keyboard Company; kept me informed and delivered on time.

Keyboard is perfect for my KVM feeding two Apple Mac’s and two Windows laptops. The key action has improved my accuracy and speed. Next up… pair the Bluetooth to my iPad Pro.

It was a substantial wait for the keyboard, ordered 01-March 2021 and delivered last week. (So roughly 4 months) that being said it didn’t really bother me that much the website was updated with expected stock dates etc so you knew roughly when it would arrive. (I don’t imagine brexit helped either)

They K8 itself is really solid, a lot heavier than I expected, nicely packaged and well protected during shipping.

It’s a bargain for the money and I’d recommend it to anyone after a tkl keyboard.

After a good 7 weeks of using this every day for work i can say this is one of the most comfortable keyboards. Really easy to use, good set up and thoroughly enjoyable. I use this for work, mainly as. typist so couldnt say for gaming. The keyboard is very well made, good sound and feel when using it. It does sound slightly tinny as there is a lot of room under the the actual board and the base but ive got used to it and dont notice as much now. Really pleased with this purchase.

Great keyboard – best I have used – love it. Like typing on silk. Seamlessly switches between my work and personal computers.

– Battery life when used 8hrs + a day with full RGB is 4-5 days which is awesome.
– Make sure you choose your key triggers which come in blue, red and brown for typing noise not for aesthetics like I did (did not know what they did). Brown is quietest and blue is the loudest. I chose blue…. 😀

I previously bought the Keychron K2 but found that I kept deleting large swathes of text whilst typing. I couldn’t 100% determine why but concluded it might be the slightly cramped layout of the cursor keys under the return key and that I was double-pressing some keys. Anyway, I decided to go for the slightly less cramped K8 and love it. I think I also prefer the clicky keys of the K8 to the linear ones on the K2 I bought. Like all things, a lot comes down to personal preference but for me this keyboard is perfect. On the keyboard height concern and the need for a wrist rest. I think it’s better to adopt the approach of keeping your wrists in the air whilst touch typing which alleviates this issue. Great service from the Keyboard Company as ever.

Amazing quick delivery from KC would 100% recommend. Packaging was brilliantly sturdy too so no Keyboard box was in perfect nick. Keyboard itself is ace, I previous had a Corsair K70 RGB (Cherry Clears) and the linear keys on the Keychron as so much more quiet in comparison. I literally can’t hear the space key and the touch of the keys are very pleasant soft to the touch.

Awesome keyboard!

I previously owned a Keychron K2, and decided to purchase this since it has some noticeable upgrades (from my SKU) like Bluetooth 5.0, full RGB backlighting, an aluminium chassis, and most importantly, hot swappable switches.

I personally have a Mac, but my work computer runs Windows. Having easily switchable profiles and a MacWindows toggle makes switching between the machines really quick. Full RGB gives a much nicer look and extra layer of customisation all on-device (with a dedicated key to rotate through the options, and shortcuts to change colours). Having hot swappable switches brings such an upside, more so than I thought. I bought some Kailh Box Whites (I’m a programmer and love clicky switches) and swapped out the Gaterons with ease, improving the typing experience even further.

The Keyboard Company are great as well. When purchasing the K2, I wanted to change SKU after the order was placed and that was not a problem. They ship quickly and in very sturdy packaging, which was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend both the keyboard and company.

I bought a Keychron K8 to use on a MacBook M1 2020, I experience shoulder and arm pain which seems to be currently exacerbated by flat keyboards (I used the Apple Magic Keyboard). I find the Keychron a pleasure to use, it looks great and feels great. The service from Keyboard Company was good also, a proper customer facing business.

Despite a short delay in the K8 being delivered to the Keyboard Co (which the Keyboard Co kept me in the loop about), I’m very happy with the keyboard, it was well worth the wait. It is great to type on, has fantastic battery life and numerous lighting affects, including various single colour modes if RGB isn’t your thing.

This is my first mechanical keyboard and is being used for office/productivity/programming. The quality seems superb, with a very solid build. The Gateron brown switches offer nice feedback and while they are definitely not silent, they are not *too* clicky. In terms of ergonomics, the keyboard is high at the front edge, but I’ve so far managed without a wrist-rest. The backlighting is not very visible in daylight, but has been nice at dusk or later – and it adds a bit of colour to the home office! Bluetooth worked fine with iPad and laptop, although I’m currently using it wired. Overall, this has satisfied my curiosity about a mechanical keyboard without spending another 50% on some other brands!

I upgraded to this keyboard from a Logitech G413, as I wanted to have a fully wireless setup with a TKL keyboard.

The keyboard itself offers really great value for money and is a nice starting point from where you can build an upgrade (foam mod, lube the switches, change the keycaps if wanted) as it’s easy to take apart and work on it.

I’m using it on the PC and iPad and works great both on Bluetooth or in wired mode.
Initially, I was a bit concerned about the lag that the keyboard would have when used in Bluetooth mode, but so far haven’t had any issues with it.

The only downside would be the lighting, as it’s not bright enough, however, it’s not a deal-breaker and I’m happy with how it looks stock.

The keys themselves feel a bit soft, but it’s to be expected with Gateron Browns. I’ve ordered new springs, switch films and some lube, so I’m going to mod it as I please.

Overall I would definitely recommend it and I’ll give a thumbs up to KeyboardCo as well for processing the order in a timely manner.
