I was looking for a mechanical keyboard that has ISO layout and Mac support. So, the options were very limited. I came across K8 on youtube reviews and ordered it through Keyboardco (As Keychron does not ship to Turkey). Shopping experience was very good with Keyboardco. I received the keyboard in about 2 weeks and works perfectly.

Being an Apple Magic Keyboard for 7+ years, it is a little hard to get used to a thick keyboard like K8 but I think I can overcome this issue pretty quickly. Original keycaps look and feel fantastic. Backlight brightness is more than enough. There are no issues with bluetooth connectivity. It was so easy to pair with my mac and there is no delay at all.

My first impressions on this keyboard are as follows. The keys feel light and responsive due to the the red switches I chose. this being my first mechanical keyboard I would recommend the red switches. The battery life is impressive I have not had to charge the keyboard since it arrived 3 days ago. Switching from one bluetooth device to another takes approximately 4 seconds which is a lot quicker than what I thought it was going to be. The cable included with the keyboard is a nice braided type if a little short. However, as I primarily use this as a Bluetooth keyboard I have had no problems with said cable. The colour scheme of the included keycaps is quite sleek. You could be forgiven for thinking that this keyboard was worth double the price.

The built-in RGB effect of the LEDs are impressive for the price and somewhat customisable.

Overall I would recommend this keyboard for a first-time mechanical keyboard customer as the the keycaps are hot-swappable. No soldering required.

I rated at a 9 out of 10. It is absolutely fantastic for the price.

First mech keyboard purchase and I am really happy with it. I spend a lot of time at the computer for work and up until now have been using a Logitech rubber dome, also UK ISO which I can’t do without. Moving to the Gateron Brown switches has made typing seem smooth and effortless. The Keychron itself is clearly very well made and solid, and so far the bluetooth has been faultless. I’m not a huge fan of RGB in general, so have that turned off.

I have had to purchase a wrist rest due to the height of the keyboard, but that’s the only remotely negative point I have about this keyboard.

KeyboardCo have been great as well, would highly recommend for fast delivery and good service!

The Keychron K8 is a solid option for a mechanical keyboard in a proper UK ISO layout, as it seems there isn’t many these days. I went with the Gateron Brown switches and have since replaced the keycaps and added foam to the keyboard for a more suppressed sound as it can sound a bit tingy because of the empty space when stock. The keyboard has all the key buttons and has a great feel when typing. Coming from a Razer mechanical board, this feels great!

The service from KeyboardCo was outstanding as well, and they made a last minute change to the order very quickly. Would highly recommend.

Love the keyboard, good instructions and features (I use it with Linux, Mac and Windows and it magically works great on all three – I assumed it would be a pain bit the switch on the side makes it easy to switch between the Mac and Windows system key configurations. The spare keys allow you to swap out the ones you want – and for some special keys you can choose which caps to use. It’s a nice clicky keyboard, well spaced out – looks easy to clean – no complaints! Shipping and packaging decent too.

Great feeling keyboard, very easy to swap between modes and some decent RGB too (could be a little brighter perhaps). Stock keycaps are ok but upgarde them and all of a sudden this board feels wonderful to type with (and that is using reds!)

Fantastic keyboard, cannot fault it. Its quite high so I find it needs to sit behind a wrist rest, but in terms of design, quality, size, functionality and looks, it is the best Ive ever used. It also weighs a lot, which is reassuring and a refreshing change from cheapo plastic keyboards. Not used Keyboard Co before but will be returning due to exceptionally good purchasing experience!

TL;DR — solid, lots of features, and (so far) reliable bluetooth. Great VFM. One or two compromises that I don’t mind but some users might.

Pros:
– very solid
– hotswap, although at the moment I like the Gateron blue switches fine, maybe better than cherry mx blue
– should be easy to disassemble if I ever feel the need to mod (I don’t at the moment)
– bluetooth is very good; no problems switching between Mac and Windows which was a key feature
– no problems waking up at the moment
Cons:
– very tall. Taller than my Filco with equivalent keycaps. Doesn’t bother me, but I sometimes use a wrist rest
– keyswitches visible and there’s an Alu lip around the board and then a recessed portion between the banks of switches. Again doesn’t bother me (looks industrial) but not seamless
– not a fan of the keycaps but then I’m spoiled with doubleshot ABS SA caps (also bought from Keyboardco for my Filco originally).

This is the second keyboard that I’ve ordered from the Keyboard Co and I highly recommend them. Fantastic service.

I purchased the K8 after the K2. The K2, for me, felt a little cramped and was stopping my fingers from finding the arrow keys without looking down due to not having the space around them. However, I loved the keyboard otherwise so the choice was to buy the K8 which offers the best of both worlds. Both excellent keyboards and are a pure joy to type on. I’ll use the K2 for a spare.

For context, I’m a web developer and spend a lot of my day touch-typing and accuracy is important.

Great product and helpful team. The back lighting could be brighter but its still decent considering all its other properties. The sound is a little hollow but the keyboard comes with styrofoam pads you can place inside the casing to stop that if you wish.
All in all I would definitely recommend for any Mac users
