Overview
The Keychron K2 is a super Bluetooth or wired keyboard giving you all the keys and functions you need while keeping it compact and with one of the largest batteries seen in a mechanical keyboard.
Connect with your phone, laptop or iPad. Connect the keyboard wirelessly via Bluetooth with up to 3 devices, and switch between them with fn + 1, 2 or 3. You can also use the USB to type-C cable to connect the keyboard to your devices and/or charge the keyboard.

Compatible with all operating systems from Mac to Android to Windows. K2 is one of the few mechanical keyboards featuring Mac layout media keys. It allows you to use all the same media keys as conventional macOS. Every K2 keyboard comes with 3 specific keycaps for Mac and Windows, respectively.
K2’s 85 key design retains all the essential function keys like Page Up/Down, Home, End, and Screen capture (cmd+shift+4) which are important for your productivity. With N-key rollover (NKRO on wired mode only) you can register as many keys as you can press at once without missing out characters.

One month in and I’m very happy with this keyboard both for coding and gaming. I transitioned from a much thinner keyboard and was afraid of the height of this one but it turnerd out to be just fine with the addition of a wrist rest.

This is my first mechanical keyboard and I absolutely love it. Would highly recommend the K2 to anyone that is looking to get their first mech.
I switch between Mac & windows and this board handles that in a heartbeat with the simple side switch. Mine is the UK layout and looks great really subtle with just a pop of orange. The light effects are fun and just give you another excuse to play with the keys.

The K2 is a sturdy, well-built keyboard. It looks great too, particularly with the various lighting options (I have mine on the single keypress highlight) that, while completely gratuitous, are just plain cool. The keys make a satisfying clack.
It connected seamlessly with my MacBook Pro and iPad, and hasn’t yet dropped the connection. Switching between the devices is simple enough.
I would have preferred the USA keycap colouring, since the UK version (for whatever reason) only offers variance with the Esc and backlight key; you can swap them out for dark orange versions that come with the keyboard. All other keys are dark grey.
It arrived before time, well packaged. No problems there. Thanks to Keychron, and thanks to The Keyboard Company.

I really like this keyboard. The typing action is great; the keys are a bit high but I do not find that a problem. You can always use a wrist-rest. The function keys have all the MacOS control options – hooray! I mostly use it wired but the Bluetooth option is useful, especially given the ability to pair with 3 separate devices. It is too early for me to comment on the battery life.
The light show options are lost on me; I just don’t see the point apart from simple key backlighting. Bizarrely, with all those LEDs, there is no caps-lock indicator. This keyboard might have been targeted at the gaming community but it strikes me this is a great keyboard for professional use and the current lighting feature could be tweaked to suit that market.
But that does not take away anything from a versatile keyboard that is much better to type on than my iMac original. My only doubt is – should I have held out for the aluminium version?

Overall I’m fairly happy with it. I knew in advance that it is fairly high and may necessitate a wrist rest; I now think it does. The keycaps feel a little cheap but given the functionality and price I can’t complain.
Currently a MACOS user, I appreciate the integration with the OS. It works very well. I was also able to customise it very easily thanks to the provided extra keycaps.

Well designed, well built, lasting battery and I still can’t find anything comparable in terms of OS compatibility and connectivity, especially for the price. The only thing Keychron needs to do now is start selling keycap sets for other regions besides the UK.

As fantastic as I expected.
Having not owned or used a mechanical keyboard before this one I took much time deliberating over my switch choice; after spending many hours listening to YouTube videos trying to decide which click I wanted, I opted for the Gateron Browns and they are perfect. Lovely sound and feel to add to the full house of perfectly functioning features.
I use the K2 with my MacBook and iMac through bluetooth and my custom built (blue toothless) windows machine via the USB-C to USB-A cable using the side switch to specify the system to which I am inputting.
I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Thank you Keychron and The Keyboard Company.

This keyboard pulls off something that seems like someone should have done before, but to my knowledge no other company has. If you’re looking for a compact mechanical keyboard that is Bluetooth-capable and has the same layout you would find on a UK MacBook, this is it.
This is not another case of a Mac keyboard that is really just a PC board with some extra key caps for option and command: all of the key caps are in the correct Mac location (e.g. the , the @, the ` and ). The function keys, including the media keys and a dedicated screenshot key, work just as well on my iPad as on my Mac.
The white backlight on this model has a bewildering number of options, and eventually you will find the useful always-on setting, which can be turned down (and off) with F5 and F6. A very minor complaint is that there’s no signifier for when the caps lock is on, which is surprising given the effort that went in to designing the other backlight effects.
The limited switch options is a little disappointing (I would have preferred clears over browns), but everything else about this keyboard makes the trade-off worth it.
