Very nice keyboard. Rock solid, feels nice to type on.

Wish the cable was removable and braided.

    Worth the money IMO

Jon, you are complaining about things which are completely natural to this keyboard.
If you want a quiet keyboard, I would generally say: Mechanical keyboards are not for you. Maybe you wanna try the new Cherry MX Silent switches.

The Filco Majestouch is a high end keyboard of outstanding quality. Can’t go wrong with one of these.

Really classy keyboard, been using it for a few months now. I like the feel when typing (for programming mostly) and enjoy the small footprint. Despite it’s size, it’s very sturdy and heavy.

I thought I’d need a wrist rest but I find with this keyboard it feels ok without one.

Great company. Fast delivery . Love this keyboard cherry mx-brown rules.

Apparently Filco Majestouch-2 keyboards have a characteristic to produce a pinging sound when typing. It happens because the sound of the spring in the switch is amplified by the metal plate.

A lot of other keyboards have it too but because the Filco is so well build (it’s really nice) this effect is even more apparent. I’m guessing it’s because it has less sound absorption.

I noticed this immediately when I got it. Decided it was just too much so I returned it.

I do live in a very quiet environment. So if you’ll use at work or something then it might be ok.

I’m quite disappointed because otherwise the keyboard was perfect.

Absolutely awesome. I have been in IT for the last 35+ years, I am an old school computer scientist, I started working while a teenager on mainframes, min-computers, servers the size of a a small room and mechanical keyboards are simply the best ones and this one reminds me of the old good days when the IT pioneers invented almost everything existent today and nobody cared about the *look* of a device.

    Congratulations.

Keyboard arrived quickly and in perfect shape, well packaged from vendor.

Excellent build quality, no-frills keyboard. 1 star deducted for fairly cheap feeling keycaps and no detachable usb cable, definitely areas that Filco could improve on versus similarly priced keyboards from other brands.

The MX Browns in my board are definitely the new retooled switches from Cherry, bonus pts for that, keyboardco!

Great quality, Cherry brown switches give a great tactile feedback while being not too loud, no ‘Filco-ping’. I love the side-printed key caps (‘ninja’ version). Delivery to Germany took about two weeks. It’s definitely worth the money and I highly recommend buying it here.

Excellent keyboard, feels rugged and durable, key caps are heavier than what I’m used to but give a feeling of sturdiness, small footprint so takes up little space on my desk, equally nice for typingcoding and gaming.

Expensive, but worth every penny and looks seriously cool with the side printed key caps.

I was looking for a smaller keyboard without a number pad so that I don’t have to reach excessively for my mouse. I already have an Evoluent mouse and was trying to improve the ergonomics even further.
Most of the decent tenkeyless keyboards seem to have the mechanical switches and I was rather shocked at the price. However, it has proved to be a worthwhile investment. It is lovely to type on and I’m sure I’m quicker and more accurate. I went for the brown switches and was concerned they might be rather noisy but they are satisfyingly clickey without too much noise.

I would recommend this keyboard to anyone. It is well built and great to type on.

The delivery was faster than I expected and the item was not damaged at all. 5 out of 5, would definitely recommend.

An excellent keyboard and excellent customer service.

I spend all day in front of my computer, so decided to take the plunge and get something decent to type on. I also ordered the red orings, which personally I would think of as essential – I prefer less key travel. I doubled up on the orings on all main characters, space bar and return, and used singles on the rest of the keys.

I went for the ninja variant, with characters printed on the side of the key caps. I’d prefer if the characters were printed a little darker – I still tend to look down a bit too much, but don’t have the guts to go fully blank just yet.

Highly recommended keyboard and great supplier.

The best keyboard I’ve ever typed on. It should be for the money.

Like Others have mentioned, it is heavy and sturdy. It feels and looks great on the desk.

I cannot stress enough that the keyboard does sit some way off the desk, however. A wrist rest is a must to stave off fatigue after extended use.

The Majestouch 2 build has a very solid, and sturdy, feel.

The typing experience is superb, the Cherry MX brown model I purchased feels really light and precise, when the tactile bump hits.

Overall I really like the keyboard. The material for the keycaps is very nice (matte texture), and I like that you can get a pure SwedishFinnish or Norwegian or Danish layout instead of the Nordic layout. The material for the casing is a unpleasant cheap hard plastic and I also wish the windows key was win10 or blank or something else.

Overview

The Ten-Keyless version of the Majestouch-2 Ninja

Filco’s Ninja has the same layout as a standard UK keyboard, but instead of having legends on the top of the keys it has legends on the front of the keys. This is the 88 key version of Majestouch (the Majestouch without the number pad). With this compact keyboard, you can save space while having the same layout, and the same tactile feel as the existing Majestouch series.

Additional Accessories

The Ninja comes with 2 sets of Windows keys 1 set top printed, 1 set front printed, and a key puller to help you change the keys.

True N-key rollover

The functionality by which all the typed keys are recognized on the PC, even when many keys are typed simultaneously. All the keys typed simultaneously are recognized on the PS/2 port (limited to 6 keys typed simultaneously for the USB due to the specifications of USB). Completely dedicated electronic circuitry, a diode is soldered on the PCB for every key switch to prevent ‘counter currency’.

Solid and stylish

The rigid case construction gives a sure and comfortable typing experience with a specially designed font, for better visibility and a stylish and long lasting appearance.

An excellent feel with the ‘brown’ MX tactile feel key switch

The Cherry MX ‘brown’ key switch, gives a tactile feel without the audible click of the ‘blue’ switch, it has a long key stroke of 4mm with the actuation point (key press) at 2mm. Easy, fast and stress-free typing, the famous features of Cherry MX tactile feel.
