Overview
The Ten-Keyless version of the Majestouch-2
This is the 88 key version of Majestouch (the Majestouch without the number pad). With this compact keyboard, you can save space while having the same layout, and the same tactile feel as the existing Majestouch series.
You can customize your saved space by placing the ‘Ten Key Keypad’ (sold separately, see below) on your left side or right side, when you feel the need.
True N-key rollover
The functionality by which all the typed keys are recognized on the PC, even when many keys are typed simultaneously. All the keys typed simultaneously are recognized on the PS/2 port (limited to 6 keys typed simultaneously for the USB due to the specifications of USB). Completely dedicated electronic circuitry, a diode is soldered on the PCB for every key switch to prevent ‘counter currency’.
Solid and stylish
The rigid case construction gives a sure and comfortable typing experience with a specially designed font, for better visibility and a stylish and long lasting appearance.
An excellent feel with the ‘brown’ MX tactile feel key switch
The Cherry MX ‘brown’ key switch, gives a tactile feel without the audible click of the ‘blue’ switch, it has a long key stroke of 4mm with the actuation point (key press) at 2mm. Easy, fast and stress-free typing, the famous features of Cherry MX tactile feel.

First of all, this keyboard was sent quickly and arrived similarly, well packaged. And in these troubled times, it is a valuable thing that can be notified.
I needed a mechanical keyboard for the development, the old one being very tired. There are a multitude of keyboards out there, some probably very good, but the trend is all the same for a whole bunch of features that are totally unnecessary for me.
This keyboard therefore does not make the Christmas tree, it does not allow the programming of keys (which we can bypass much more easily with its favorite text editor), it does not have a usb port (my screen in a 2 so I don’t care), the cable is not detachable (only regret) and above all it does not make coffee or tea either: it is therefore limited to being an excellent keyboard, with a keystroke fast and precise, flexible and … restful. The whole exudes solidity. The weight isn’t negligible either, and the keyboard won’t budge an inch even in fiery debugging times. In brown swithes it is relatively silent even when the fingers accelerate sharply.
What more can we say except that its minimalist aspect makes it a pleasant object to look at. But that’s rather very subjective. In short, I already like him a lot.

Switched from blue switches to browns with this keyboar, finding it easier to actuate and substantially less noisy. If you do a lot of typing in a room with other people its something worth considering.
Keyboard is of very solid construction and I have nothing to complain about wrt it. tenkeylessmodel is perfectly sized.
At this price point I do not know how you could go wrong.

Service was brilliant – personal, expert and attentive. The keyboard is brilliant. After an initial adjustment (I found I needed a wrist rest), I am flying away, writing at speeds I couldn’t before and enjoying the feel and sound of it! Thank you.

Quieter than my partner’s Logitech K800. The sound is low-frequency so less annoying than the clicking of scissor switches.
Compact. I do not miss the numerical pad. Seems very sturdy. Keys are comfortable to type on and do not require much pressure to register. On the other hand, there is enough travel in them for comfort.
Downsides: low Enter key.

This is my first mechanical keyboard since I used a Commodore-64 and other 8-bit systems in my youth! I’d previously been using a rubber-dome IBM keyboards.
I spoke with Bruce who was most helpful and didn’t try to hard sell any particular keyboard. If in doubt speak to the team.
I selected this keyboard as I do use a numeric pad but not very much and so the extra desk space is useful as my hand has to travel less to reach the track ball. I write software for a living so I sit at my desk all day either writing code, or documenting code or testing code, so I use a keyboard more than 8 hours a day on average. I use the same keyboard for work and home use (via a KVM) and I don’t play game much.
The keyboard arrived nice and early much faster than I expected. It was well packaged and survived its trip across the channel. I swapped the windows keys for blanks and plugged it in. I’ve been using it for a week and so far while I’m still getting used to it I’m very happy.
It’s heavy and has rubber feet on all four corners, so it doesn’t slip or slide on my desk. I’d prefer to have routing options for the cable, but the centre position is actually fine for how I have my desk aligned at the moment. It doesn’t have a USB hub which would be useful, and doesn’t it have fancy LEDs which aren’t useful to me.
They key caps don’t wiggle on top of the switches and travel down in a neat positive manner, there is very little lateral rattle, which is good. As you learn to type without bottoming out, the keys make less noise, if you whack them all the way down, they obviously do make a noise, but the MX brown switches do not make a distinctive click. They keyboard is not silent, but it is no worse than a rubber dome keyboard with regard noise.
You can buy a keyboard with more features for less money and you can also spend a lot more money than I did on this already expensive keyboard. Personally, media buttons, flashy lights and macros don’t add value to me so I wasn’t bothered with them. If you want a specific keyboard for gaming with macros and other gaming specific keyboards then this probably isn’t for you. If you type things for a living then this is the perfect keyboard for you.
The Ten-Key-Less version is only a few quid less than the standard one, and if you don’t need the numeric keyboard then the full sized keys but smaller foot print of this TKL version is worth the sacrifice of the numeric keyboard. I think I’d only get the full version if I was working with numbers all the time – it’s not worth buying on the off chance that you may use the numeric pad. There is a separate numeric key pad, but I don’t work with numbers often enough to merit the paying the price for it.
Is it perfect? No, but for the price you pay for it it is as good as it going to get, because everyone would want slight variations and that would be impractical.

I’ve had every employer for the last 10 years buy one for me and I have been using one at home for a long time. Now I’m soon getting one for my summer home too.

Great keyboard and better than the cheap Chinese mechanical one I had before with MX Blues. Went for Brown this time. It’s not just about the switches as the electronics are more consistent and the letters come out in consistently the right order as it’s less on the edge if that makes sense.
Great service from The Keyboard Co and fast delivery too 🙂

Im a software engineer and had this keyboard for almost 10 years, using it at work. It is still fully functional, after HEAVY use.
This keyboard is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended. I have the brown switch variant. I can no longer go back to other keyboards, as my fingers start hurting.
Due to recent events, Ive had to work from home, and dearly missed my keyboard, so I had to get another one. Slightly disappointed that the key caps on my new keyboard have a slight blue tinge, whereas my previous purchase had actual black key caps.
The lack of the number pad might put some people off. Because I have narrow shoulders, I would frequently slam my mouse against the keyboard, so a narrower keyboard allows unimpeded use of a mouse. A separate num pad can be purchased if you really need one.

Decided to switch from my Unicomp Model M as while it’s excellent to type on I was no longer appreciating the noise and wanted some switches a little easier on the fingers. The Filco with browns is a perfect fit and the build quality is solid. If you’re in the UK and you buy this layout be aware you may have to mess with input locale settings.
I’ve shopped with The Keyboard Company a few times in the last ten years, always a good experience. Cheers.

Feels fantastic, and the silent red switches are so so so much quieter than standard reds – can’t see myself going back anytime soon. The noise they do make is quite a satisfying dull thud vs the standard high pitched clack of a red. The board has a really good weight to it as well, so won’t be sliding around anytime soon.Would definitely recommend.
One note: The keycaps that come with the board are pretty rubbish and you can feel the legends printed onto each key. But there are so many customisation options out there that most enthusiasts won’t be keeping a stock keycap set on one of these for long anyway right?

Excellent keyboard, absolutely love typing on it. I replaced the keycaps not long after I got it but the caps it comes with are fantastic. This is my first time buying a mechanical keyboard that isn’t gaming branded and I’m in love! Hopefully this treats me well for years to come. May even buy another one for the second pc, once you’ve typed on this you aren’t going back.
Thanks to Helen for the fantastic customer service when I called about an error I made with my order. Really friendly and happy to help. Surprised how fast it showed up as well.
Cheers!

My second excellent Filco keyboard, a tenkeyless this time, not that there is anything wrong with the first one but this was for my daughters laptop. She originally wanted a Varmilo because they look better but they were out of stock, she’s very happy with the Filco.
Excellent service from Keyboard Co, friendly, quick delivery, well packaged.

Excellent keyboard. Touch typing programmer finally got sick of cheap keyboards and faced with 3 months of home working, decided to buy a good one, and this one is very good. I’ll probably have to buy one for the office now . . . 😉

Great keyboard all around, the build quality is solid and it feels excellent to use (has been used for programming as well as general typing every day). Friendly service and fast shipping from the Keyboard Company .
