This keyboard is the high point of Japanese craftsmanship. The mx-brown switches have a nice buttery smooth tactile feeling to them. As a programmer it is a great joy to type on them.
I also have a majestouch ninja with blue switches but this model is more appropriate for somebody who doesn’t want to get distracted by clicks white they are thinking and typing.

This is a top keyboard and worth every penny.

Arrived quickly just after the Christmas break, got in contact because of the shipping delay due to the office being closed for Christmas. I got a speedy and great response.

Keyboard is high quality and never faulty unlike my last bluetooth keyboard from a different brand, the battery lasts for a long time too. Read other older reviews for a sense of the typing experience and quality, I would agree with them.

Cannot recommend the keyboard and the service highly enough.

Spendy but I love the keyboard, but then I knew I loved Cherry MX red switches already. Nice action and liking the lack of wires with the Bluetooth option. Good chunky feel to the keyboard so it doesn’t move around on my desk.

Media keys are bonus, makes it much easier to change volume, mute and startstop music without having to find whichever window something is playing in.

Would have liked to been able to buy the Ninja version of they keycaps but sourced a set of side-printed PBT keycaps elsewhere.

I purchased a Filco Convertible 2 Tenkeyless with MX Brown switches. It’s an excellent piece of kit, and I’m delighted with it. What really impressed me, though, is the service from the Keyboard company. I had a couple of teething problems with the keyboard (which were due to my ineptitude) and the customer service team were really helpful in sorting them out. I’ll definitely shop with them again.

My love for mechanical keyboard started with TVS Gold back in 2001.
Was then exposed to various budget keyboards in office etc, which is when I decided to hunt for the finest mechanical keyboard money can buy.

Being a minimalist, I fell in love at first sight with TKL Filco.
I been using wired version brown switches for last 5 years, and realized something was still missing, and that was the click!

The recent WFH requirement gave me an opportunity to buy a new keyboard and I ordered TKL Filco Convertible MX Blue UK Keyboard – the first thing.

TKL Filco Convertible MX Blue UK is the Royal Enfield of typing world.

I’ve been using the Filco keyboard for 6 months now and its been excellent, before that I was using the horrible laptop keyboards. The product has been excellent with no problems, and has also been tested by a 4 yr old and a kitten so its very robust. The keyboard company were excellent both with their advice and the speed and efficiency of delivery. They shipped to France for me, and it arrived quickly and was well packaged. Would definitely recomend.

Ordering from Keyboard Co was very easy and the delivery was faster than I expected. The keyboard turned up in perfect condition and there was a couple of Keyboard Co branded items in there too. As I havent had any issues, I cant speak for their customer service but I hear a lot of good things in other reviews.

Before buying this keyboard I was using a Logitech Romer-G keyboard that I got a while back and was using it for my day job as a programmer. I liked the mechanical keyboard compared to the standard rubber dome keyboard as decided that it was time to get a new one.

The Filco Majestouch is such a solid keyboard, it weighs a good a mount and has good rubber feet that mean that it never moves around unless you pick it up. The keyboard has no flex in it at all which means that you wont get any creaking or bouncing keyboard noises. Seems odd to talk about lack of noise on a mechanical keyboard but these are some of the bad sounds and what you want to hear is the keys as they make all the satisfying sounds.

The Cherry MX Browns seem to get a bit of a bad rep these days with people saying that Cherry have just been making the exact same key for decades and other companies have come up with better switches. All that might be true, but I really like the way that these keys feel and sound. What makes them even better is they way that the keyboard is constructed which seems to dampen mechanical echoes or pings inside. This means that each one of the keys make a satisfying sound.

I ordered the Tenkeyless (TKL) version and I can honestly say that I in my job, I havent missed the num pad. There are the odd occasions where I have gone to press the enter key on the numpad and missed that but such a minor thing for the benefit or more desk space and my mouse being closer to the middle.

The way that the media keys are ordered are counter intuitive with the up volume being on the left and the volume down being on the right but I dont use them a huge amount and took a couple of months to get used to it. There are some DIP switches on the bottom that allow you to move a few key locations around like the caps-ctrl and it comes with alternative keycaps to support that.

I was worried about the lack of PBT keycaps but the stock ABS ones feel great and if they do end up with some shine in a couple of years or any of the legends wear off, I can always buy a set of the Filco PBT keycaps on the Keyboard Co website.

Overall, I would say that this is without a doubt the best keyboard I have used by a long margin. I love using it and find it so comfortable and it is worth every penny. I cant recommend it enough and people at work get to hear all about it!

I’ve been buying keyboards from this fine companies for many years, and the quality of their stock and the level of the service has always been top notch. The same applies to this little Filco – great build quality, delivered in no time. Top marks. If you love clicky Blues but don’t need that whole section on the right, then go with this, no reason to buy anything else.

Manual is terrible. All the information is their but not very well presented.
Pressing the Space bar does not re-start my PC in the same way as my previous RF dong did. Bluetooth is therefore not advantage and you have to buy a separate dongle.
The keys feel a bit soggy; not sure they are genuine Cherry Red keys?

I’m absolutely delighted with my Filco keyboard, and with the service provided by The Keyboard Company.

This is my first ever mechanical keyboard, and the feel and feedback from the brown switches makes typing an absolute pleasure. The support for bluetooth profiles works well, and allows me to easily switch between my laptop and desktop. I still have to have two mice, but that is much less hassle than using two keyboards!

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Keyboard Company and the Filco keyboards to anyone who is looking for a good quality mechanical keyboard.

I have been using the Filco Convertible 2 TKL keyboard for a couple of weeks. It is the most solid build keyboard that I have ever used. With the CherryMX brown switch, it gives me a very good tactile feel, not too light, not too stiff, just about right for office work.

The keyboard had a small issue after a few days of use. Some keys were not responding. I was disappointed and thought that it’s time to say goodbye to the keyboard. I contacted The Keyboard Company customer service and they were extremely helpful and caring about my situation. I was told to contact Andy their technical support to try and fix it. He responded promptly with a few pieces of advice to diagnose the problem. However, there was no luck still so they were happy for me to return the keyboard with postage included.

As I like this keyboard so much, I didnt want to give up on it just yet! Finally, I have got my keyboard back to work by turning it off and on a few times. I believed its some sort of signal jam in the keyboard that caused the problem. Since then, I have not encountered any of that ever again.

I would definitely recommend this Filco Convertible 2 TKL keyboard. You can never go wrong with a Filco keyboard. Yes, Filco keyboards are not as fancy as the other brands ones. However, if you care about build quality and durability, Filco for sure is a right choice for you.

Been using a keyboard with mx brown in the office for a long time but at home I’ve been stuck with a slim keyboard until finally I decided to buy this Filco Convertible 2 and it’s such a major improvement. I like the size of it and the bluetooth connectivity plus of course the mx browns are great to type on. And it feels very solid.
Had no problems buying it, got to me quickly and everything was in order, so thank you KeyboardCo.

I’ve been using a wired Filco Majestouch 2 for a number of years now and absolutely love it. But was looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard and the convertible fitted the bill. An absolute pleasure to use, and the Brown MX switches provide the perfect level of tactile response, while still being quiet.

Great service from the Keyboard Company and would highly recommend.

I bought the Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 Tenkeyless keyboard at the start of the Lockdown, so I have used it for three months. It is mechanically excellent; I can type for ever. The keys are compatible with Windows-PC-UK. I can recommend this keyboard to keen typists.
It works very well with the dedicated cable, but it is more convenient for me personally to use the Bluetooth radio link.
I found the keyboard could not wake-up the computer over Bluetooth. There is no power setting on my Bluetooth tab. So, I use my mouse to send the wake-up call.
Occasionally a key repeatsssssssssssssssssss, this is not a major issue and may be diminishing. I have tried to fiddle with the settings but without success.

Since starting working from home I was struggling with an american mech keyboard that I couldn’t configure correctly. That has instructions and software, but it still didn’t do what I wanted. I missed my filco majestouch from work so much (terrible default Dell HP keyboards) , I had to order one for home. Plug and Play, worked first time. No issues. I am using red silent cherry switches, it is quieter than the brown switches that started to fail in American keyboard. I would have liked a USB C option only because I have a few 6ft cables that I use (I will buy a retrofitupgrade kit if you make one, please 🙂 ).

GREAT Keyboard, just works, excellent quality. My PC laptops will never be without one again. Thank You.

Easily one of the best keyboard in the world. It is really an embodiment of the world-famous Japanese craftsmanship. A rock steady keyboard that has the best quality. If you are not a big fan of fancy-looking keyboard like me, you will defo enjoy this one.
However pairing with devices was a bit tricky, actually there is a little button in the front of the keyboard and you need to make sure you press that button before you can pair with any device. After that, press any of the 1-4 number and select the keyboard from you device.

Brilliant. Brown switches are great – quiet yet tactile. I have one with blue switches and find it bit loud and cheap sounding. Absence of number pad makes it somehow much easier to use with more space on the table – it also feels more solid and better proportioned. Again how brown switch one at work with numpad but prefer this one. Bluetooth works well though it does not support Mac sleep protocol To wake Mac up – beware Mbp16 is fussy – it takes good 2min after connection for it to recognise key strokes. Its not keyboard fault as on iPad Pro it wakes and types within seconds. I like the option of being able to just make it wired. Can set up 3 devices and switch quite easily. Keys are solid and very comfortable to type. The whole thing is heavy and well put together. It does not wobble nor creak. It could have been made of steel. Brilliant.

The quality and finish of this Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 keyboard is second to none. Premium matt keycaps and textured plate. This my first experience with a proper mechanical keyboard. For someone who types thousands of words for work every day, the smooth and seamless actuation of these Cherry MX Blue switches is mind-blowing.

The explanation of the fourth dip switch in the product manual is slightly unclear. Essentially, it toggles the function key, which is located on the right hand side of the space bar, between either enabling the media commands on the F1-F8 keys, or acting as a right click menu command. This right click functionality works really well.

I inexplicably struggled to get the keyboard to switch on or pair in Bluetooth mode initially. I checked everything, including the power in the brand new Sony batteries. After removing and reinserting these batteries several times, suddenly there was life. Anyone who experiences the same might want to fiddle with the batteries a few times.

Delighted that I upgrade from my premium membrane laptop-style keyboard to this full-on mechanical beast. The Cherry MX Blue switches are sublime. After 15 years of typing exclusively on membranes and laptops, I thought this necessary transition would be challenging. Very glad to confirm that it is not. Typing now flows better than ever.

A note on delivery. I ordered late Friday evening and received it Monday morning in the post, under the free of charge delivery service included within the product price. I was not expecting it to arrive until Tuesday. This is exemplary and rivals even Amazon. From an independent specialist business, this should be highly commended. Thank you.
