French Filco Majestouch-2, MX Brown Tactile Keyboard

This is my first mechanical keyboard, I was looking for a keyboard for video games and typing as a developer and I'm completely satisfied!

The Majestouch 2 is now my main keyboard at work. This is a real step up from a TKL keyboard (with MX Brown also) that I used previously : the Majestouch is heavy, and the touch of the MX Brown feels better in it. The typing experience is overall very good.
The construction is top notch, it's a heavy and solid keyboard.
Kudos to keyboardco for having AZERTY keyboards and for the very fast delivery (well... until my local post office screwed up, but that's another story :D ).

I had a pro HP keyboard before which i thought was the best, but i must admit your French Filco Majestouch-2, NKR, Tactile Action Keyboard
FKBN105MFRB2 is even better, i can definitively type faster with it without effort so it's worth the money. I'm very satisfied.
A small suggestion : i bought a french keyboard now but if one day you offer a BelgianFrench one (a few non-letter keys are different), i would bought that again.

Excellent french keyboard.. By far the best I have ever had. Nice sound, dynamic tactile feel. Gave me the will to learn touch typing which I did. Great buy, smooth process, fast delivery abroad (France) and nice help from Bruce in choosing the adequate keyboard for a novel writer...

Very nice keyboard whose features are among the very best. The delivery is also satisfying and the customer service very reactive and professional. What was even more pleasant was to find keyboards with French layout which is quite challenging even on some other marketplaces, and at a very fair price for a Filco keyboard. Eventually I feel very grateful for having been given the opportunity to get a keyboard that meets all my requirements at the same time (robust built, brown switches, French layout, sober ie. no backlighting and elegant design). Once again thank you to the Keyboard Company !

Typing this review off my new Filco keyboard,

I like it.

Since the cherry MX brown switches are 4mm deep while sporting a 2mm actuation depth, you end up with two possible typing styles :

Either you go all the way down (at first) with clear clicks at the bottom,
Or you push down the keystrokes more gently, running your fingers half way to dull out the clicks and get a smoother feel. This comes naturally after a short habituation period to adapt with the keys' mechanical response. On that note you can add O-ring switch dampeners. I did set them up to test their effect. They do dull out the key hits. In practice I like having the keyboard as is.

The keyboard itself is a fine piece of hardware. Solid, heavy, huge pads, USB cable is thick, lace is robust. Filco didn't spare on the materials.

It took me forever to compare, read blogs etc, before placing my purchase so let me make one single comparison with an IBM model M. It doesn't compare. The IBM requires very hard strokes and you get a strong spring force on the return right after the click. The modern mechanical keyboards are way softer. There exist MX CLEAR switches that are rumored to be slightly harder to push in. I will never know for french keyboard layouts are scarce :)

All about this keyboard was designed to be robust to the last detail. Just go for it.

what i love with that keyboard, it's that it's almost impossible to miss a typing. the MX brown works perfectly in that regard
also what i didn't expect it's that the keyboard is also very good for gaming

I already had 3 mech keyboard. I moded few of them, changing switch etc....

1. The keyboard is simple, nothing fancy nor media control (:saddly:), u can not gesture volume out of the box.
Cherry MX BROWN feels different than my modded gateron brown but still is tactile silent.
The stabilizator are really nice, you can poke SPACE key at the edge, still the entire key will go down even evenly.

2. I really appreciated ordering on this site, even their convoyers is top liability.
I got my keyboard in a day.

3. The little surprises when opening the package is a nice touch and make totally sense.

A sturdy keyboard which was shipped on the day of the order. Typing feels really good and gives a nice sound out. I ordered my Majestouch with a white carbon cover and opening it was like Christmas !

Took 24H to receive my keyboard after my order, very fast shipment and good packaging ! They keyboard is just awesome, perfect mix of silence, responsivity and comfort (MX brown switch).

This is unquestionably the best French keyboard I have ever used. Filco clearly deserves its reputation and so does The Keyboard Company, with its lightning-speed delivery and decent pricing.

Incredible beautiful keyboard , very well finished, solid and extremely pleasant to use . it reminds me of the old mechanical keyboards ibm . after having used it is very difficult to return to an ordinary keyboard . I am very satisfied with the product and service keyboardco.

I ordered this keyboard a monday morning. It was shipped the same day, flew from England to France the day after and I received it in Paris, one week after my purchase.

This is my second FILCO from the Keyboard Company and the service is just perfect.

The product is very high quality and the construction is sturdy. The design is very slick and the keycaps are marked with beautifully printed characters.

No wonder it is a best seller for the Keyboard Company.

I chose the Cherry MX Brown switches because indeed it gives a nice tactile feel without the audible click of the blue switch. So it is not too noisy.

While not stated in the description of the product, it should be noted that the keyboard has extendable legs.

This keyboard is for you if you like classical design (no media keys, flashy gamers LEDs, or any other clutters) and quality reliable products.

PS: it is too bad that FILCO is only proposing wooden and not leather or other black colour material Palm Rest to better suit the black colour of the keyboard.
