The Carpio was collaboratively designed with input from medical experts. Dr. Marko Mikša, a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic Surgery, and Burns (including Carpal Tunnel surgeries), was a key contributor, working alongside us for over a year. Additionally, we consulted with several physicians specializing in occupational medicine to ensure the Carpio's design met medical standards and insights.

What about the gel wrist rest?
Think of it like this: When your wrist hurts, especially in the carpal tunnel area, using regular wrist pads can actually add more pressure (which isn’t good, right). But Carpio 2.0 is different. It shifts the pressure away from the sensitive carpal area to the tougher parts of your palm - the thenar and hypothenar areas (that’s the base of your thumb and little finger). This shift in pressure helps a lot in reducing nerve compression and discomfort. It’s all about redistributing the pressure to where your hand can handle it better.
Just a piece of plastic, huh?
Well, there are two brands that would disagree - NASA and LEGO.
Carpio shares some similarities with them. The gliders at the bottom are made out of PTFE Teflon, the same material NASA engineers used for their next-gen space suits. While the base of the wrist rest features an ABS component, found in LEGOs.
