Firstly fantastic service from keyboardco, when this arrived a couple of the keycaps for the UK layout were damaged, which they quickly replaced. Fantastic service.
Now, the keyboard; I bought this to use with my steam deck, BT pairing works flawlessly and it's a great portable size. I went to blues (brown was no longer in stock, my K95 is brown) wow the feedback on the blues is great, I ended up pairing this with my desktop for some coding and it's great, probably 3 days of work before I had to charge, I wouldn't want to use this in an office though as it's loud, i'd still say browns are the best mix for coding and gaming though.
Negatives, the keycaps are abs but that's reflected in the price, the RGB effects are a bit meh; I'd love the type lighting effect corsair offers through icue but have settled for essentially a static, really nice for low light.
At the price point, this is a great introduction into (hot-swappable) mechanical keyboards, I'll be looking to upgrade to PBT caps if I can find a colour set I like.

K8 RGB Hot-Swap Clicky
I wanted to reduce the wire clutter on the desk so started using an Apple Magic keyboard but it's so thin there's almost no travel to the keys as one types. And so started my voyage of discovery into mechanical keyboards - actually it's more of a rediscovery because this K8 really takes me back to the late '80s when mechanical was all there was.
Only used with the MacBook Pro so far but it works brilliantly, does everything I want and once I'd figured out the trick to toggle the F5F6 function so they act like proper function keys I was really happy.
The keyboard itself has just the right amount of key travel and resistance and, as I work alone, the click is just the best.
Thoroughly recommend one - just be aware of the physical height of it because prolonged typing will get uncomfortable without a wrist rest.
Can't fault The Keyboard Company; kept me informed and delivered on time.

Love the keyboard, good instructions and features (I use it with Linux, Mac and Windows and it magically works great on all three - I assumed it would be a pain bit the switch on the side makes it easy to switch between the Mac and Windows system key configurations. The spare keys allow you to swap out the ones you want - and for some special keys you can choose which caps to use. It's a nice clicky keyboard, well spaced out - looks easy to clean - no complaints! Shipping and packaging decent too.

Great keyboard for Mac Users. This is the second keyboard I have purchased from Keyboard Co. The first was a Filco which I used with my Windows PC. The K8 has replaced the Filco (for the time being) as I can connect to both Windows and Mac at the switch of a couple of buttons. Excellent service from the Keyboard Co.

Great keyboard, have to connected via Bluetooth to 3 different devices, Windows and OSX and no problems - being able to switch between the Mac and Windows keys just by flipping a switch is brilliant!

Awesome keyboard!
I previously owned a Keychron K2, and decided to purchase this since it has some noticeable upgrades (from my SKU) like Bluetooth 5.0, full RGB backlighting, an aluminium chassis, and most importantly, hot swappable switches.
I personally have a Mac, but my work computer runs Windows. Having easily switchable profiles and a MacWindows toggle makes switching between the machines really quick. Full RGB gives a much nicer look and extra layer of customisation all on-device (with a dedicated key to rotate through the options, and shortcuts to change colours). Having hot swappable switches brings such an upside, more so than I thought. I bought some Kailh Box Whites (I'm a programmer and love clicky switches) and swapped out the Gaterons with ease, improving the typing experience even further.
The Keyboard Company are great as well. When purchasing the K2, I wanted to change SKU after the order was placed and that was not a problem. They ship quickly and in very sturdy packaging, which was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend both the keyboard and company.

This is the second keyboard that I've ordered from the Keyboard Co and I highly recommend them. Fantastic service.
I purchased the K8 after the K2. The K2, for me, felt a little cramped and was stopping my fingers from finding the arrow keys without looking down due to not having the space around them. However, I loved the keyboard otherwise so the choice was to buy the K8 which offers the best of both worlds. Both excellent keyboards and are a pure joy to type on. I'll use the K2 for a spare.
For context, I'm a web developer and spend a lot of my day touch-typing and accuracy is important.
