The Ten-Keyless version of the Majestouch-2
This is the 88 key version of Majestouch (the Majestouch without the number pad). With this compact keyboard, you can save space while having the same layout, and the same tactile feel as the existing Majestouch series.
You can customize your saved space by placing the ‘Ten Key Keypad’ (sold separately, see below) on your left side or right side, when you feel the need.
True N-key rollover
The functionality by which all the typed keys are recognized on the PC, even when many keys are typed simultaneously. All the keys typed simultaneously are recognized on the PS/2 port (limited to 6 keys typed simultaneously for the USB due to the specifications of USB). Completely dedicated electronic circuitry, a diode is soldered on the PCB for every key switch to prevent ‘counter currency’.
Solid and stylish
The rigid case construction gives a sure and comfortable typing experience with a specially designed font, for better visibility and a stylish and long lasting appearance.
An excellent feel with the ‘brown’ MX tactile feel key switch
The Cherry MX ‘brown’ key switch, gives a tactile feel without the audible click of the ‘blue’ switch, it has a long key stroke of 4mm with the actuation point (key press) at 2mm. Easy, fast and stress-free typing, the famous features of Cherry MX tactile feel.

The keyboard it is of course really nice! It’s a Filco in US layout, which is not easy to buy in UK.

I agree that this is an excellent keyboard. I’m not a fast touch typist but like the feel of these keys a lot compared with my prevous ‘spongy’ keys. However they can be a bit ‘clacky’ when bottomed and found fitting the Red O-Ring Switch Dampeners a great improvement.

Living in France makes it extremely difficult to source a good quality Qwerty keyboard – but the Keyboard Company has now solved my quandary. The Filco Majestouch-2 is a throwback to the days when quality and design mattered. It’s an understated product, solid and reassuring in the knowledge that it will last years.

If you look for a solid and compact mechanical keyboard this keyboard filco is an excellent choice. According to me, his price costs because it is very solid. His construction is excellent. Its only small weakness lives(lies) in the quality of the keycaps which in time can fade. It is simply enough to buy a set of keycaps sold also on keyboard compagny to be quiet.

Unimprovable! Worth every penny! Ideal for touch typing and programming, I wavered over the tenkeys issue. Ditching them was the right decision for me as it puts the mouse just where I need it. I use Linux or OSX for writing so I don’t have to use numeric keypad for alt codes. Typing on this keyboard is like gentle finger massage and, working alone, I can enjoy the cheerful tapping sound without worrying about disturbing anybody. This keyboard is quite heavy, does not slide around on a desk and feels very well made with a chunky, sober and space-saving design. Next-day delivery from KeyboardCo.

What a relief to have a proper keyboard after the flat, dead, lifeless (but quite nice looking) thing the system came with. I don’t find it terribly noisy, so I’ll probably not fit the washers. In fact I rather like it! It doesn’t have media keys – which is a comment rather than a negative – I knew that before I ordered.

It’s SO. LOVELY. Dangerously expectation-setting for the rest of your life. I bought it for home, but I’m writing this review from my laptop at work, which was once acceptable but now feels like slamming my fingers against an unyielding yet disappointingly silent bed of plastic tiles.
So buy it, now – but be prepared for the rest of your life to feel like a bit of a letdown.

Of all the brands, Filco keyboards are always the most solidly built. This keyboard has the same sturdy quality as the rest of the Filco lineup.
Cherry MX Pink (otherwise known as Cherry MX Silent Red) – it’s quieter than regular reds, feels softer to type on. In my opinion you can’t make an MX red keyboard this quiet even with O-rings.
It’s unfortunate that a UK layout doesn’t exist yet but it’s still early days and we may see some in the future.

I’ve gone through several wiFi and Bluetooth keyboards over the years and in the end they all fail me. Because I’m a touch typist they just can’t keep up with my typing speed – the letters appearing on screen somewhere down the line which is SO frustrating. Then, at some point the contacts under the keys start to fail and so the letters on those keys just doesn’t appear on screen at all. So, Question – what to do……..?? Answer:- phoned the Keyboard Company and spoke to Helen to discuss keyboards generally and Cherry MX switches in particular. I decided to order this keyboard which arrived as promised 2 days later. It is solidly built and has a good weight, has beautiful black matt keys, and came complete with a PS2 convertor and a pre-formed keyboard cover. It’s lovely and responsive to type on and keeps up with me no problem. A touch typist’s dream. Thank you Keyboard Co for great customer service too.

My first experience with tenkeyless boards was a PFU Happy Hacking Keyboard Lite2 I purchased a few years ago. This keyboard (which I have in brown switches);however, is much better in terms of feelbuild quality, and is well worth the extra price.
Also, the service offered by Keyboard Co. was excellent.
