Switch Type: Gateron Brown Layout: United Kingdom
I’ve been using a Keychron K2 for about four years but decided I really need a numeric keypad. The numeric keypadcursor layout has taken a little adjustment (the 0 is a single width key instead of double width as is more usual with numeric keypads), because the cursor right key is below the 1 key.
Once I adjusted to that, I’ve found it very productive. I also changed the keycaps to a Keychron PBT set because they look and feel a bit nicer than the ones supplied with the keyboard.

I dont expect you would buy something like this without doing your research, Ill not repeat the information thats available online about the product. Some personal perspectives: I wanted to minimise the keyboard footprint, and while I was initially thinking about the K2, the sale price of the K4 swayed me. It is taking a little while to adapt to the arrow keys being just part of a block of keys, more difficult to find by touch, but Im already getting used to it. Might even take off the raised sticker I added soon! Good service from Keyboard Co, happy to recommend.

Switch Type: Hot-swap Gateron Blue Layout: United Kingdom
Very happy with my choice of keyboard (love the Gateron blue switches) and speed of process and delivery. Thought I had an issue with the keyboard mapping but as it turned out was a PICNIC (i.e. my fault) not swapping out some of the keys for the and @, etc. Initially called support who were busy so left a message. Impressed that someone called me back about 30 mins later so good customer service and aftercare so far. The keyboard itself is mint but didn’t realise from the descriptionspec how high from the desk 15mm can be so ordered the Keychron wooden palm rest (no Carpell Tunnel for me!!). Only suggestion for the website would be to see if you could accept Apple (or Google) pay as more secure and easy as my delivery address gets added automatically instead of manually typing it out on the online order form.

Switch Type: Gateron Red Layout: United Kingdom
Fantastic keyboard. Red switches are just the right weight to be responsive yet soft and fairly quiet. The board is built very sturdily and is particularly heavy. K4 is just the right size, with a numpad and everything where you need it. I’d thoroughly recommend both the keyboard and Keyboard Co.

Works great, the keys have a really nice finish to them and the different RGB modes are fun to mess around with. You can be connected to 3 devices at the same time which makes it really seamless to work between machines and I’ve not had any problems with connection drops yet

I am starting a new job and decided to treat myself to a new keyboard and my partner already had a Keychron keyboard. I wanted the K4 so that I had a number pad as this is a must for my job however it wasn’t available on the Keychron website and came across The keyboard company!
This keyboard is very well made with a robust body and lovely RGB backlight and very happy it contains a number pad with it remaining smaller than a full size keyboard as well. It is very nicely priced for the quality compared to other brands on the market. This is my first mechanical keyboard and would highly recommend any of the keychron keyboards especially for someone that is their first keyboard purchase!

Switch Type: Hot-swap Gateron Brown Layout: United Kingdom
This is an excellent keyboard. I wanted a compact mechanical keyboard that was wireless, and had a proper UK Mac layout. The Keychron not only fits my requirements, but is a joy to type on. The arrow keys and bottom row of the numpad in the compact layout take a bit of getting used to, but have become quick with a bit of practice. My one complaint is that the operator layout on the numpad doesn’t match the normal Mac layout which made it difficult to use until I remapped it and changed the keycaps. But I couldn’t properly replicate the standard layout since the ‘+’ is double-height on the K4. But I’ve got it close enough (it’s having the ‘*’ and ” in the correct places that is most important for me). Overall a really well designed keyboard for an extremely reasonable price! I can see myself buying another Keychron keyboard in the future

Absolutely perfect and beyond my expectations, it’s a quality feeling bit of kit, the tactility is great and it’s such a nice experience to type with. I ordered with DHL next day and got it next day.

This was my first mechanical keyboard as something of an experiment and I definitely don’t regret it. Much more solidly built than the wireless Logitech one my work had provided which flexed in the middle. The keys sound very satisfying compared to cheaper keyboards and it’s great that it’s hot-swappable as I plan to try out different switches to see if I’d prefer linear or clicky ones. I found the shades of grey hard to tell apart unless really well lit so I ordered a replacement set of keycaps from Etsy that were white and blue and the contrast is much easier to see even though it was US ISO rather than UK ISO sadly.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upgrade – if you’re anything like me it will become a new hobby probably!
