Excellent keyboard and surprisingly not as expensive as some alternatives considering how great the switches are. The best switches I’ve used so far.

The best keyboard for typing i have ever used. Clicky, but not bad for that. The only comment i had is that i found the black keys with white lettering difficult to see, so i swapped the black key tops for white ones,

Having just joined the world of mechanical keyboards from the dark side of endless cheap rubber dome keyboards, I can say that this keyboard is a much more pleasant experience even for a ropey typist like myself. The service from The Keyboard Company was excellent as well, I paid for next day delivery and it arrived bang on time.

Wonderful keyboard. Just the right feel and sound on the keyswitches, and something that you can’t really find in Cherry MX switches or variants. It’s a very nice looking, well made board.

I especially appreciate the very fast order processing and international shipping from the U.K. Cheers!

Keyboard is better than I expected. I was researching it for some time, to choose between cherry and alps switches. I decided to go with alps made by Matias – it was good decision, I like how that switches works and the sound of them.
I like the build quality of this keyboard too. It’s solid quality. I don’t like this shiny plastic material, it makes keyboard easy to look dirty.
Caps are not easy to take off, you need to pull them harder to do it – I was afraid to break something for the first time. It’s good to have good keycap puller for it.
By company mistake I had silent version for a half of day and I liked that keyboard too (it’s really silent mechanical keyboard). Thanks to that mistake I had an opportunity, to compare both keyboards – thanks The Keyboard Company for this mistake :).
Silent version is better for home or quiet office definitely.
Anyway, it’s a well made keyboard so I plan to buy mini but silent version for home too (or Matias 60% Quiet Click keyboard)

I ordered this keyboard from Thailand, where I live, the keyboard took just 1 week to reach me and it came in perfect conditions.

The keyboard is as nice as you expect. Build quality is good and the typing experience quite unique. I can compare it with my latest keyboard that is a silent red Cherry MX. Both keyboards are very silent with the Cherry being the softest while the Matias requiring stronger fingers. You will not type a key by just resting your fingers on them as it normally happens with the Cherry.

The Matias shinning frame is quite an odd choice. It looks interesting but I’m concerned about durability. I would prefer a mate look. On the plus side, this case really makes the keyboard to look different.

A few days in and I am very happy with the Tactile Pro. It is loud, but every key press is reassuringly solid. I also appreciate the volume controls in the top right corner. Volume up, down, and mute is very convenient, as is being able to plug USB devices into the keyboard, it’s just a shame USB 3.0 isn’t supported. I doubt anybody would regret purchasing this keyboard (maybe anyone nearby when you type will, though).

First impressions were very good: the keyboard has a solid quality feel, and the feel and action of the keys was superb. Sadly, the switches don’t have durability (others have commented on this in reviews on other sites): after just a few months of moderate use certain keys started sticking, giving either no or double presses. Now, after just over a year, the enter key has snapped off: it was attached to the switch by a tiny sliver of plastic. (My old IBM-AT keyboard still works fine after over twenty years of heavy use).

    Fantastic keyboard.
Definitely a step up from Cherry switches, at least Blue/Brown/Black/Red which are the ones I have personally owned and used.

Not quite as nice feeling as an older Clicky Alps switch, but those are getting quite hard to find nowadays.

My main complaints are the case design and ABS keycaps. If they changed to PBT caps and a redesigned case made with a matte plastic it would be an easy 5 stars from me.

The keys have a splendid mechanism, very responsive and easy to use for long periods without fatigue. Compared to other mechanical keyboards on the market, it is quiet.

Surprising amount key wobble. Subjective matter, but shiny thin plastic and the rounded 90s Apple design reminded me why apple now is almost a pure design company making lots of money. The thing is painful to look at. And due to these reasons feels a bit cheap. Luckily it has no backlight so you never have to look at it.

The moment you type on it is the moment you get confirmation that spending so much money on this ugly thin plastic keyboard is worth every cent.

Minor quirks, mileage may vary: lack of menu (always unused) key makes space and control key in the right longer and slightly misplaced, making typing common special characters in programming something to get used to.

Homing knobs on F J and 5 can be more distinct. I found myself groping the keys like a headless fly occasionally, but that might be my specific typing pose.

Excellent quality. A bit basic in terms of design and lighting, but very comfortable to type with and very silent, which is what I bought it for. Arrived in Malta (EU) within a few business days so quick shipping too!

I ordered this keyboard as a replacement to my recently deceased keyboard from the 90s using original ALPS keys. I have tried approximately 20 different keyboards and none of them met my expectations or the comfort or quality of my original keyboard. I contacted keyboardco to ask their advice and they recommended this keyboard. The Matias Tactile Pro exceeded my expectations and is easily the best keyboard I have ever used. For someone who uses the keyboard all day for programming, web design and writing, it is outstanding. Very high accuracy. Consistent pressure required for all keys. Pleasant reassuring ‘clicky’ sound – it is literally – perfect.

It’s pretty good. Clacky but in a good way, reminds me of the old Mac keyboards from twenty years ago. There’s quite a bit of play in the keycaps, as in they have a bit of wiggle left and right. It’s not a bad thing but it was a bit surprising at first.

I have the silent version as well, I prefer that version but I would never say no to this one either.

Unfortunately, I think the R key on mine is a bit funny, sometimes get a double press with it.

Ordered this keyboard on Wednesday afternoon and received it at Friday morning, which is very fast considering I am not living in the UK.
It is very quiet for mechanical keyboard and sturdy.
    Communication was clear and on-time.

    Very satisfied.

Lovely switches, which remind me of my ancient Multitech keyboard from ages ago. Design could be improved by not having a casing made out of shiny plastic. Quality also leaves something to be desired, especially at this price point.

All in all, though, it’s a great typing tool! Use it at the office, with higher WPMs, and less complaints from coworkers than with previous Cherry MX Blue-based keyboard.

Overview

It feels amazing.

The Quiet Pro for PC in UK layout, uses Matias’ new Quiet Click mechanical keyswitches. They deliver a feel that’s unmatched for comfort – without sacrificing the tactile feedback you need to type really fast.

It’s really quiet.

Mechanical keyboards offer the best performance, but they’re noisy – too noisy to use in most offices, or around other people. This is the first one that’s quiet. Over two years in the making, it’s the only mechanical keyboard that keeps both your fingers and your co-workers happy.

3 extra USB 2.0 ports.

Some keyboards have 2 USB ports – most have none. We’re giving you three! You can plug in flash drives, digital cameras, your mouse, and more.

Laser etched keys.

All those symbols are handy, but what happens when they wear off? They won’t. They’re laser etched – burned into the keys with a laser – so they’ll never wear off.

Sculpted keytops.

The latest trend in keyboards is to have very flat & wide keys, with little or no space between them. You see this a lot on laptops and netbooks. While they look great, they can also be a little tricky to type on. The flatness makes it very easy to slide out of home row and lose your bearings. The Quiet Pro bucks this trend. It has traditional sculpted keytops, curved to fit your fingertips, and keep you from sliding out of home position.

Audio & media controls.

Dedicated keys let you control Volume Up / Down / Mute. Plus, by holding down the Fn key you gain access to strategically located Pause / Play, Next Track, and Previous Track keys.

Tab key on the number pad.

For users who do a lot of spreadsheet work or accounting entries, we’ve added a Tab key to the number pad. It streamlines your data entry, and saves you time.

Ghosts busted.

Most keyboards allow only a few keys to be pressed at once, so they can’t keep up with very fast typists. The result is called ghosting – letters missing from what you actually typed, or additional letters that you didn’t type. The Quiet Pro has special Anti-Ghosting Circuitry to eliminate these problems. You can type as fast as you’re able; the Quiet Pro will keep up.
