Great keyboard. Love the ‘ninja’ style key cap printing. It seems more sturdy than my previous keyboard – a Matias QuietPro that only lasted a year before breaking. It is a little louder than I would like, but I probably just need to learn to not bottom out the keys when typing.

I’m quite surprised how well this ninja keyboard works, the key presses have a nice feel to them. I also like the option to use ps2 or usb port. It feels robust and looks well built. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Really nice keyboard honestly, well built, solid. Love the grippy feet underneath, no slowly moving across the desk during the day. Just overall really comfortable to use. Kind wish I’d found this site before I got my keyboard at home it’s that nice to use.

After using a colleagues for a day I was sold, I ordered my own after a few hours of usage. Im an IT contractordeveloper and bought this to use at clienta sites. I did buy a bunch of O rings not place unde each key too reduce the noise of each click ( I knew I needed to do this and ordered them at the same time ).

Im tempted to buy another one to use in my office at home. I am a very happy keyboard owner 🙂

I really want this product for a long time but I cannot find any trustworthy service until I found KeyboardCompany. It took only 2 days (-CZ) to have it on my desk. I am planning to buy another one to my office. I can highly recommend to everyone.

I’d been debating getting a mechanical keyboard for a number of years; far too many in all honesty. I had used one a long time ago in my youth when gaming, but now that I’ve been in a coding environment for number of years, I thought it was time to splash out and try one for typing.

I did spend quite a bit of time thinking about what keyboard to buy, and Filco’s Majestouch seemed to get a lot of good reviews; I must admit, they were not wrong.

I really like the look of the Ninja style, from the right angle the keyboard looks almost completely black and very smart. As someone that is a touch-typist not being able to really see the character on the key when you look down isn’t a problem (I’m not looking down).

The responsiveness of the keyboard is great. It’s incredibly tactile, something I really appreciate when coding and typing. It makes it a pleasure to right, and I honestly feel that I can type faster, and more accurately, than I did before. I have the brown switches, and for work that means they aren’t too loud; which is important as noises keyboard are distracting for those who aren’t using it.

The keyboard is weighty, 1.2Kg according to the box, which means it sits on the desk and doesn’t move around. The one bug bare I have with it though is that if I do move it I have to pick it up. If I move the keyboard by pushing it slightly away from me, the feet with be pushed back into the keyboard.

This was a great buy, and I don’t regret it.

A number of colleagues used Filco keyboards, I asked our IT department if they had any spares for me to try out for a few days before ordering my own. The only one they had was a Ninja, would I mind trying that, they asked. No problem, said I. Two months later, I’m still using the Ninja at work and bought one for home as well. The Ninja look is pure indulgence. I love the sleek look although I could imagine it being a strain if you don’t touch type. The feel of the keys is everything people rave about – solid, responsive, not _too_ loud, just a pleasure to type. The keyboard itself is rugged and heavy, sitting firmly on the desk. I’m a very happy customer.

What an excellent piece! I was very excited to order this model and can now see that my choice was as optimal as it could have been.

The beauty of this keyboard is in its simplicity – its design is completely classical, while the side-printed keycaps only add to the visuals by taking a step back in a good way. I wanted something exactly like this. The lack of backlighting is something that might throw some people off, but if you are used to this classical shape and form, you should be all good even while using the KB in the darkness.

My particular model came with the MX Blue switches, which I hoped would feel great – and they really do. The clicky feeling is very enjoyable and responsive. I had some idea of what I am after, though, so I can only speak for the Blues. I am also not a mech KB specialist, but can definitely appreciate the experience regardless.

In terms of quality, the product seems impeccable to me – very sturdy – there is no audible rattle when you hold the KB up and shake it. The buttons feel robust and durable. They keycaps feel nice to the touch. Typing is a joyful experience. My only critique would be that the cable could be a tad bit longer (it is just perfect for me at the moment, but if I had to go a few centimeters further I would have had a problem), and it could also be detachable out-of-the-box. Perhaps this is something that can be implemented in a further release of this model. In my case everything fits very well, though, so no real complaint here.

After many years of using normal, non-mech KBs, I think my entry choice was the best I could have made with this model and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone that might be considering it. I could have went with a mainstream gamer’s choice, but had a feeling that Filco would offer something more subtle, yet of better quality. Less flashiness and more reliability.

The parcel delivery from Keyboard Co. was also exactly on time and reliable.

This is the second Filco Ninja Majestouch that I’ve had from The Keyboard Company. I gave my first one to my daughter and just ‘had to’ get another to replace it after trying to go back to a membrane type keyboard. I like the solid, heavy feel of the keyboard. When you put it down on the desk it stays put. Lovely satisfying key presses. I use this keyboard at home and have been told the sound it makes is relaxing! Daughter uses brown switches in an office environment without any concerns about how loud it is. Another review mentions that the MX brown isn’t loud during normal use, I’d agree with that.

I’ve had great customer service from The Keyboard Company. I contacted them due to an error on my part during the ordering process and it was sorted out very quickly for me. I have every confidence in them and would use again and recommend to others.

Amazing keyboard, very solidly built. Has very beautiful mat-black colour. The best obviously is the typing experience! I feel joy typing on the keyboard.
P.S. MX brown is not loud if you are not hammering buttons with all your possible force 🙂 In general keyboard is suitable for office.

I like this keyboard a lot. I really don’t like the over-the-top designs of a lot of keyboards, I don’t like LEDs in my keyboards, and I don’t need macro buttons since I use a Razer Orbweaver.

This keyboard is a great alternative. It’s very heavy, extremely well-built, and great to use. I bought some red o-rings to dampen the noise a bit since this one was for the office – I have the tenkeyless model at home and it’s a lot louder without them if you habitually bottom out like I do.

My only complaint is that the plastic the key caps are made from gets quite shiny over time from the grease on your hands. This really doesn’t suit the very minimalist aesthetic that they’re going for on this board.

I did find that some of the keys with a stabiliser bar were a bit squeaky. I fixed it by applying a tiny amount of lithium grease to the white plastic hooks and the stabiliser.

The fact that this is the second one of these keyboards that I have bought from The Keyboard Company indicates my liking of this design and my satisfaction with the service.
The first one has given me everything I want in a keyboard, even reminding me of those I used in my early experience with mainframes.

Firstly, this keyboard arrived on time, packaged both thoughtfully and with care for my products and the environment.

I’ve had nice boards in the past. I’ve tended to purchase more gaming-orientated keyboards where the focus is on pacakging, colours and materials. On unboxing my Filco board, I was pleased but underwhelmed. The money that I paid had definitely not been spent on graphic design or branding.

The box is nice and sturdy, has a picture of the keyboard on it and a few labels. Buying a solid, professional quality keyboard, I can’t see why you’d want anything else.

Once the board is out of the box, I really noticed the weight, the quality of finish and the overall look of the board. Being a ‘ninja’ (side-printed) board it’s not breath-taking to look at, unless you really have a thing for the colour black. I immediately plugged it in to my Mac, quickly configured my modifier keys and began typing. I’ve not been using a mech board at this office yet and was acutely aware that it’s really loud compared to my previous rubbish Mac keyboard that had long outstayed it’s welcome on my desk.

I also purchased some red o-rings and found they made a difference to both the feel of the key travel and the overall volume and sound quality of my board. It’s retained it’s ‘click’ but is enough quieter to not feel anti-social in such a quiet office. I much prefer the feel of the keys with a little dampening at the bottom of their travel.

Getting acquainted with the ninjaside-printed keys took very little time. Having spent a little time getting to know each other, I’m typing much faster and noticeably more accurately. I think this is going to be my daily driver for a long time!

My only criticism of this board, and I knew the situation before I purchased: the USB cable isn’t removable. To remedy this I’ve purcahsed a 3rd party cable that can be retro-fitted and allows you to disconnect the bulk of the cable to make moving the board around easier. I don’t think I’ll be doing it often, but it looks cool – in all honesty I’ll probably just buy a second one for home!

Didn’t imagine it’d happen so quickly! But yes a DHL courier appeared at my doorstep with my new Filco keyboard about 30 minutes ago.Superb tactile feel. Reminiscent of the old days when I would settle for nothing less than mechanical keyboards–with metal switches–made by Northgate a long-defunct American manufacturer of PC-compatibles. All my worries about WinXP 64-bit as I should have realized, it doesn’t matter. Not for a keyboard.I expect I’ll try to install some sort of software or driver to remap the keyboard. Having worked with DEC mainframes for more than two decades–predating my ever having touched an IBM-or-similar PC yet–the habit is deeply ingrained that of expecting the Ctrl key to be on the left, not the bottom. In the past I’d attempted to reeducate my hands but with little success. More difficult, now that I’m far older i.e. set in my ways, etcetera. You know cranky. Oh true, the keycaps wouldn’t be marked correctly but only for two keys? Hardly be a major issue. Anyhow the Filco’s key labelling scheme–on the side, rather than the top, as usual–is subtle (and appeals to me, especially now that I have it right in front of me). How often do I look at the keys, anyhow? Not much.No matter. Primarily, I wanted to let you know how tremendously pleased I am with the keyboard, and with The Keyboard Company’s–at every step of the way–superb service.
