These are really good once they are ‘bedded in’ I fitted them to my ninja tkl with brown switches and they have removed the ‘clack’ it’s now significantly quieter.

Reduced the noise from my TEX Shinobi (with MX browns) noticeably.

I moved from a 20-year-old linear-switch keyboard to a bog standard Keychron K2 with Gateron blue switches, and found the noise about the same. This was surprising, as I thought of the blues as the loudest option.
I measured with my phone’s mic, and found that the noise was coming not from the switches, but from the rattle and thok of keys bottoming out. I bought these rings on a whim, worried that I’d find the typing experience lessened somehow.
I should not have worried! First of all, they really are just tiny rubber bands you slip around the stem of your key cap, so you can always take them off. I tested them out on home row and my space bar to begin with, and slowly moved to all the stabilised or wider keys (as they tend to have more echo and rattle).
Second, the worries of reduced travel are going to be personal, and match to the dimensions of your switchcap combo no matter what you do, but I find the travel difference negligible and it is actually far more comfortable for me to have a softer landing after the switch clicks.
So now I’m in in the situation where my keyboard with blue switches is actually much quieter than my old rattletrap linear! I may need to buy more of these…

It did reduce the noise from the key hitting the bottom and I didn’t feel any difference in the key travel distance.
my partner is also happy with the reduction of noise. 🙂

Overview
This set includes approximately 125 black o-rings to modify the feel of your Filco or other Cherry MX keyswitched keyboard. The o-rings are fitted to the underside of each keycap, and soften the landing of the keys when pressed all the way down to the bottom of the keystroke. These are 1.5mm apx thick, 50 shore slightly harder than our red and blue o-rings, and are made from silicone.
