ULTRA-SLIM
The redesigned low profile switch is 40% slimmer than conventional switches. Together with the streamlined aluminum body makes the K3 one of the thinnest and most lightweight wireless mechanical keyboards in the world.
Compatible for both macOS and Windows. Keychron is one of only a few in the market that comes with a Mac multimedia keys layout for Mac enthusiasts. For Linux users, we also have a dedicated user group to help with the experience.
Two level adjustable rubber feet makes the new K3 more comfortable to type on.
HOT-SWAPPABLE
We all have our unique typing preferences, that’s why we went the extra mile to make the K3 the world’s first hot-swappable low profile Optical switch keyboard. We’ve implemented an MX-styled stem and stabilizers, and conducted numerous design iterations of the keyboard structure.
You can easily hot-swap every Optical switch to customize your typing experience on the K3 without soldering. *Hot-swappable feature is available for low profile Keychron Optical switch version only.
OPTICAL SWITCH
With the MX-styled stem housing and ultra-low latency, the low profile Keychron Optical switches are crafted for typists or gamers who want to type at lightning speed with a lifespan much greater than industry standards.
*Low profile Keychron Optical switch keyboard is not compatible with any conventional mx style mechanical switch.

ALTERNATIVE KEYCAPS
We’ve spent over a year developing and implementing a MX-styled stem on both the low profile switches for the K3 as well as stabilizers on the big keys like the space bar, left Shift, backspace and Enter key.
It will improve reliability, deliver better typing experiences, and may potentially pave the way for other keycap manufacturers to launch alternative keycaps.
75% LAYOUT
Crafted for productivity, the K3’s 75% layout is a compact version of tenkeyless layout. It allows users access to all the essential multimedia and function keys, but with a smaller footprint.

Comes with various white backlight settings, you can adjust the keyboard brightness to sync with your mood.

The first mechanical keyboard Ive had: major improvement on standard laptop and full size keyboards, very happy with it. Keyboard Co most helpful with advice re choice of keyboard and also swapped the keys to use for Windows due to my limited hand strength. Keys are easy to press which sometimes results in unintended typing but preferable to needing more force.
Lighting options include a steady white backlight; once you find a preferred backlight option by pressing light key can turn on and off by pressing fn and light keys together.
I particularly like the separate full size keys for arrows up, down, left, right, page up and down, home and end; these make it easy to navigate large files and webpages.
The keyboard takes a few seconds key presses to wake from sleep but I prefer this to more frequent charging. I turn keyboard off, using 3 way switch at back, when Ive finished for day; but the 3 way switch is very small and awkward to use. I suggest for future models making the 3 way switch larger or 2 switches for on/off and bluetooth/cable, perhaps with on/off switch at side where it would be more accessible.
Lovely box! I thought about a covercase but you can put the box lid over keyboard when not in use to reduce dust build up.

Generally very happy with this. Only issues are accidentally hitting the backlight key is annoying, the tilde key and non_us_backslash were mapped the wrong way round on my Mac and the printscreen key has been mapped to cmd-shift-4 for screenshots on Mac which makes it hard to customise.

Wonderful keyboard! I always found the apple magic keyboards a little too low and standard mechanical keyboards too high, but this is in between and absolutely perfect. The typing experience is heaven and makes me want to use it more, which is perfect for my job. The only thing I would say is when it goes to sleep it takes a few goes to get it typing again, but I fixed this by turning off the sleep function. This will probably affect the battery life but I’ve been using it solidly for 3 days now and I haven’t had to charge it yet. I cannot recommend this keyboard highly enough if you’re looking for a more tactile experience without the awkward height. I absolutely love it!

Very happy with this keyboard.
The switches are nice and tactile, and have a soft landing that was surprising yet welcome, not as soft as a rubber dome but not as hard as some switches can be. The keyboard is one of the quietest I have ever used.
After a day I disabled the auto sleep function (which was annoying tbh), and have taken to switching the board off when I’m not using it (simple switch at the top of the board) Battery life seem good.
The backlighting appears to be a clean white and the keycaps are clear and legible, the font is nice too.
I highly recommend this board to anyone wanting a low profile, quiet keyboard.
