Overview
Beautiful aluminum design with numeric keypad.
Modeled after Apple’s iconic aluminum keyboards, the Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard looks & feels just as nice as the Apple originals.
Mouse-friendly (2-port) USB 2.0 hub.
The built-in hub is great for connecting your favourite wired mouse (or wireless dongle) with a 2nd port available for plugging in flash drives, or other low power devices.
High precision volume dial.
Perfect for users with external speakers, the volume dial gives you MUCH finer volume control than you get from pressing volume keys -ï¾ though it has those too.
Specifically, the dial has 4x higher precision than the volume keys. That’s 64 volume levels vs. the 16 levels you get from the keys.
Mac-friendly function keys.
Just like an Apple keyboard, the function keys let you control screen brightness, volume, iTunes, and more.
There’s even an Fn key, that lets you momentarily change the function keys back to their traditional duties, when you need them.

I ordered this for a colleague when her Mac keyboard packed up, as I already have one and love it. The service from this company is excellent and the goods are always with you within a day or two. I have recommended once and would so again

Delighted with both the Matias keyboard and with the Keyboard Company’s quick and efficient service. Thanks.

Only been using this keyboard for a few days, but first impressions are good. It’s not quite as ‘high quality’ as the Apple equivalent – keys clack a bit more, and occasionally need to be pressed again – but for half the price it’s pretty good, and the fact it is wired is the deal-clincher. I don’t think Apple do a wired one any more. Would recommend and buy again.

Just to say many thanks for a fantastic service. The keyboard arrived very well packed and all is working very well. I have already recommended you to others.
There is a large music community using Macs and the original keyboards are now failing. This a fantastic product that solves the problem.

Really great service from The Keyboard Co. After receiving a Matias aluminium keyboard with a skew key Helen sent out a replacement on the same day. Really happy I’ve found a quality replacement for my Apple keyboard at a very reasonable price. Great service guys, thank you.

Great replacement keyboard, solid, well made and works very well. The price makes it very attractive being half the price of a replacement keyboard from Apple. (they don’t make the wired keyboard any more). Very happy with the delivery service from Keyboard.co.uk would be please to recommend the company to my friends.

An excellent replacement with a few extra features not on any other apple keyboard (extra sound control and visible hash / euro keys). Good strong construction just like the apple counterpart. Very responsive feedback typing with the low profile keys and no clicking. Arrived on time and well packed, presented in a pleasing printed box and the keyboard was wrapped perfectly (little things make all the difference)
Delighted, thank you.

Perfect replacement for discontinued Apple wired extended keyboard. Appearance is indistinguishable, the texture of the keys is slightly different in feel but that’s not a criticism. At half the price of the Apple keyboard now available and very quick delivery I would strongly recommend.

Better than the Apple keyboard, delivered on time and works straight out of the box.
Glad I found the web-site and half the price of Apple.

This keyboard looks almost exactly as the one formerly manufactured by Apple. A closer inspection reveals that the printed characters and icons lack the consistency in style of the oriiginal, but to an untrained eye this shouldn’t bee noticable. The tactile sensation is noticably cheaper, and too often the keystrokes get registered twice (hence the typos in this review which were left in text for demonstration purpposes). This might be attributed to my typing style of course, but since this keyboard is ofteen bought as a replacement product for peeople used to typing on an Apple Aluminum Wired Keyboard, it is worrth mentioning. The key mechanism is different from Apple’s so there is nno swapping keys between theese keyboards. I mention this becausee I had some keys on my former KB custom engraved, and I was hoping that I’ll be able to reuse them. VVerdict: Price tag too high for a less-than-perfect replica.
Hi Matt
Seems obvious that you’ve got a faulty keyboard. Why don’t you give us a shout? Then we can do something to rectify the problem.
Very Best.

Arrived quickly, well packed. Very pleased so far, seems a good replacement for the Apple original, nice feel to the keys.

The keyboard arrived promptly and had been safely packed. It seems first-rate very like the discontinued Apple one, but (if I am not mistaken) with a slightly more robust feel about it and with a slightly firmer touch. Time will establish how robust it actually is, but so far I am delighted with it.

This is the 2nd or 3rd order we have placed for these keyboards. Since apple discontinued their wired usb keyboards we had been looking for a something to replace like for like. These are great – they are almost identical to the original Apple ones so will be repeat ordering.

Appear to be an excellent keyboard replacement. Time will tell with the heavy fingers that we have.
