I bought this keyboard but the variant with the built-in trackball and as part of my job, turn around many, many pages of writing per week, all on this keyboard. It has been worked exceptionally hard for many months since working from home and remains perfect. It feels like it will last forever!

Having always used 'original' Model Ms, I was interested in trying Unicomp's updated version. It's the same size and shape, but certainly weighs less, almost sliding around the desk. The key click is lower pitched somehow, less metallic and pingy than the Greenock-made board I was using before, but it's recognizably a buckling spring. The keycaps are two-piece and the lettering is clear. I would have preferred a detachable USB cable, and perhaps do without the right-hand-side Windows key in exchange for a longer space bar.

I've been using an original IBM PS2 keyboard for nearly thirty years. It is now in need of a little TLC so I looked around for a replacement. I tried several that claimed to be IBM clones but they all had Cherry-type keys. It is only with the Unicomp keyboard that I've been able to get the real buckling spring action.

The keyboard is fantastic (as expected). Keyboard Company did a fantastic job. their service is unbelievably friendly, competent, professional and FAST! Wow!! @Unicomp: The quality of the USB-cable does NOT fit the quality of the Keyboard. Its just a cheap industrial mass production type.Why not make it detachable? BTW: the USB-version has issues with some USB 3,0 hostcontrollers.

Packaging added by Keyboard Company is excellent. Original packaging (by Unicomp) is merely sufficient. It arrived in a timely fashion (just under one day counting from the time of departure from the company.

The clicking is real, the feedback is wonderful, the plastic is that beige white that will only improve with the years like a good bottle of wine.
