The Matias Standard Clicky Tactile Switches are virtually identical to the classic simplified white Alps switches, with a similar force curve and activation force. However, the lifespan of the Matias switches is longer, with 50,000,000 actuations (compared to the original spec of the classic white Alps, which was 10,000,000 actuations).
I ordered samples of both Quiet Clicky and Clicky switches to test before ordering a batch to build with. As a hobbyist, it's great that you offer these switches in small quantities, either as sparesreplacements or for people - like me - who build custom boards out of them.

These Matias switches are great. In one instance, I accidentally broke a switch on the Matias Pro 4 after attempting to clean around it. I removed the old switch and replaced with it with one of these. Now it works like new. I also had two non-functioning switches on an old Apple Extended Keyboard. I swapped the switches for a couple of these and the keyboard is up and running again - good as new! I keep coming back to Matias for that wonderful ALPS feel and the reliability of the products. Thanks to the Keyboard Co for quick shipments and offering a large variety of options (such as USA layouts, etc).

I have an old Dell Bigfoot with black complicated Alps, it had a few dodgy keys in the home row. So I bought a handfull of these Matias clicky switches to see if I like them. I put then in the function key row and then transplanted the black alps switches I removed into the home row. I have to say these clicky matias switches are a night and day improvement on the black alps. So now I'm considering doing the entire keyboard bar the numberpad when I have the time. Switches arrived in a couple of days from ordering.
