As the name suggests, the Handshake Mouse is held in a natural “handshake” position with a comfortable 90° angle. The wrist does not bend too much sideways and the forearm does not have to turn inwards as much. This improves wrist posture and prevents physical discomfort. The ergonomic handshake position reduces muscle activity in the forearm compared to a traditional mouse (Quemelo & Vieira, 2013).With the Handshake Mouse, you work ergonomically and healthily for greater productivity at work.

Prolonged use of a traditional mouse can lead to pain and discomfort in the shoulders, forearms, and hands (Chang et al., 2007 & Andersen et al., 2008). The 'handshake' position of vertical mice means that the wrist bends less to the side and the forearm does not have to turn inwards as much (Schmid et al., 2015). This results in lower muscle activity in the forearm than with a traditional mouse (Quemelo & Vieira, 2013). Vertical mice therefore lead to a healthier and more comfortable way of working compared to traditional mice.
