The redesigned low profile switch is 40% slimmer than conventional switches. Together with the streamlined aluminum body makes the K3 one of the thinnest and most lightweight wireless mechanical keyboards in the world.
Compatible for both macOS and Windows. Keychron is one of only a few in the market that comes with a Mac multimedia keys layout for Mac enthusiasts. For Linux users, we also have a dedicated user group to help with the experience.
Two level adjustable rubber feet makes the new K3 more comfortable to type on.

HOT-SWAPPABLE
We all have our unique typing preferences, that's why we went the extra mile to make the K3 the world's first hot-swappable low profile Optical switch keyboard. We've implemented an MX-styled stem and stabilizers, and conducted numerous design iterations of the keyboard structure.
You can easily hot-swap every Optical switch to customize your typing experience on the K3 without soldering. *Hot-swappable feature is available for low profile Keychron Optical switch version only.

OPTICAL SWITCH
With the MX-styled stem housing and ultra-low latency, the low profile Keychron Optical switches are crafted for typists or gamers who want to type at lightning speed with a lifespan much greater than industry standards.
*Low profile Keychron Optical switch keyboard is not compatible with any conventional mx style mechanical switch.

  • Light actuated
  • 0.2ms Ultra-low latency
  • 70 million keystroke lifespan

ALTERNATIVE KEYCAPS
We've spent over a year developing and implementing a MX-styled stem on both the low profile switches for the K3 as well as stabilizers on the big keys like the space bar, left Shift, backspace and Enter key.
It will improve reliability, deliver better typing experiences, and may potentially pave the way for other keycap manufacturers to launch alternative keycaps.

75% LAYOUT
Crafted for productivity, the K3's 75% layout is a compact version of tenkeyless layout. It allows users access to all the essential multimedia and function keys, but with a smaller footprint.

18 TYPES OF RGB
Comes with various RGB backlight settings, you can adjust the keyboard brightness to sync with your mood.

USA Keychron K3v2 Bluetooth RGB Optical Tactile Ultra-slim Aluminium Mac/PC 75% Keyboard - K3-E3-USA

The keyboard is great, ordered it with brown switches which are fine for now (great for office work) but I'will definitely try other switches as well. I am using it with MacBook and it has all the keys I need which some other keyboards does not (brightness adjustments, music controls, etc.). As an addition, palm rest improves comfort significantly.

Downsides are keys sensitivity (too sensitive), not being able to check battery percentage somewhere in the OS and reconnecting via bluetooth when the keyboard is in sleep mode (this mode can be turned off).

Overall, I would recommend this keyboard as I don't find these downsides crucial and I can live with them until Keychron fixes some or all of them :)

TLDR: good keyboard, the brown switches are rubbish.

The keyboard is pretty good overall. In my opinion, the 75% form factor is the sweet spot between TKL (which I consider not portable enough) and the more esoteric 60% (or smaller) which sacrifice useful keys for the sake of looking cool and gamer. If youre comfortable typing on an average laptop, youll feel at home with this form factor.

The case is solid and not too flexible, the keyboard is relatively heavy (a good thing, otherwise it wobbles and drifts around like a cheap piece of plastic) and the Bluetooth mode works well once you update the firmware (older firmwares are buggy and the backlight is incredibly dim at 100% when in Bluetooth). I love the fact that this keyboard seems to be designed for grown-ups so, even if perfectly workable for gaming, it doesnt make you look like an overgrown child when you use it at work.

Do buy the US-ANSI version because insisting on using any other layout, especially the ISO-UK one which is very similar to US-ANSI but different enough to cause inconvenience, is rather daft (in the world of mechanical keyboards, US-ANSI is king).

The brown switches that came with this keyboard are utter rubbish. They all feel slightly different to each other. Some of them make an audible click, and some of them dont. Some of them feel very tactile, and some of them feel linear. Some are stiff. Initially, the Keychron low-profile optical browns had a fatal flaw whereby the actuation point was almost zero force fortunately it was fixed (not thanks to Keychron but a random youtuber, which is laughable!). Anyway, these browns aim to be a weird middle ground between reds and blues that, trust me, doesnt really work. The manufacturer didnt manage to make them consistent. Go for reds or blues: at least you know what you get.

A good thing about this model is that it mounts hot-swappable optical switches so you can replace them as needed.
