UK Keychron V3 Max QMK RGB Bluetooth 2.4G PBT Hard Tactile Mac/PC Frosted Black Custom Keyboard with Knob - V3M-D4-UK

All-around customizable keyboard

To build a fully customizable keyboard, we designed every component to be easily assembled so you can customize and adjust any or every parts the way you want.

2.4 GHz & Bluetooth Connection

Experience peak gaming performance on the fly with the 2.4 GHz wireless connection boasting a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking across your computer, phone, and tablet, you can effortlessly connect the V3 Max via Bluetooth 5.1 to three devices.

Dual Receivers

For a better 2.4 GHz wireless experience, the V3 Max comes with Type-C and Type-A receivers. Enjoy the quick plug-and-play time. Or, put them away in the keyboard magnetic storage slot at the top right corner.

An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ARM architecture MCU equipped with 256K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz right out of the box, which makes the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games.

OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps

These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Switch Layouts Between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V3 Max comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Gasket Mount Design

By adopting a gasket mount design along with a PC (Polycarbonate) plate, the V3 Max reduces acoustic resonance, delivering a softer and quieter typing experience with enhanced flexibility.

Program with QMK & Launcher

The open-source QMK firmware means endless possibilities for key remapping, macros, shortcuts, and more. Now you can easily customize each key with the Keychron Launcher web app.

Hot-swappable

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Gateron Jupiter Switch

Our exclusive Gateron Jupiter mechanical switch (for the Fully Assembled version only) comes with a 3-pin design, its pre-lubed with a reliable Gateron quality standard with up to 80 million keystrokes lifespan. While their unique LED diffuser design offers high RGB backlight transmittance and softer backlight effect. The banana switch provides an early tactile bump at the top with a uniquely smooth experience like those Panda switches on the market.

Screw-In PCB Stabilizers

Even small part matters for your fingertip feel. We’ve integrated the PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers for a smoother typing experience with less wobbliness on the big keys such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete. The Keychron V3 Max also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.

There's a lot to love about My V3 Max - the keycaps and the Jupiter Banana switches - but my keyboard developed a problem almost immediately. On only the second attempt to plug in the USB-C cable, the connection felt wrong. Looking closer, I could see the port itself being pushed inward as I inserted the cable, which meant it wasnt seating properly.

I opened the keyboard to investigate and found that the small board holding the USB port and two little switches is secured by two tiny screws. One of them had already come loose, leaving that side of the board unsupported. To make matters worse, a small plastic post next to it had snapped off as well.

I tried to reattach the loose screw, but it wouldnt tighten, the plastic thread it screws into had stripped completely. The one that hadn't fallen out could also not be tightened without stripping the plastic thread. The design relies on screws going directly into plastic, which doesnt seem durable enough for a part that gets regular wear. A more robust mounting solution would have helped here.

Rather than going through a warranty return, I opted for a quick fix. I applied a small amount of superglue at the screw points to hold the board in place. So far it feels secure again, and Im hoping it holds up over time. Given how much stress the USB port is likely to see in normal use, I wouldnt be surprised if others run into the same issue. Also, there are two small switches on this little circuit board, and if I'd glued it back in place without correctly lining up the switches on the outside of the case that slide these, then I'd have found myself in a right old fix. I guess what I'm saying is that if this happens to you, then glue is not a good solution, you need to think about embedding some nuts into the inside of the case and replacing the two screws with little bolts. But the point is, Keychron should have built it this way.

My first mechanical keyboard. I heard good things about this one but was worried about using this website, I hadnt heard of it and suspiciously cheap compared to Amazon Im very glad I got it here though, great customer service and great keyboard at a great price! Everything I wanted, the keys feel amazing and even though I dont care about RGB backlighting I know others like it. Bluetooth and wireless connections both work like a charm. Thank you!

Really nice keyboard, with a lovely tactile feel and a satisfying sound that isn't overly noisy but has that sound of Mah Jong tiles clicking together that is sooo addictive. I wasn't sure how I would find a keyboard that is less than full size, but the keys are the same size and I never use the keypad on a full size keyboard anyway, so it doesn't feel cramped at all. The lights can be adjusted from full on garish bling down to much more subtle effects - I have the keys light up dimly when they are clicked. Delivery was quick and packaging by KeyboardCo was all good too. I'm almost tempted to buy another!
