A joy to use. I bought one of these to take into work with me when I hotdesk. It arrived and I was so impressed with it that I bought a second one a few days later which has replaced my Filco Majestouch wired mechanical keyboard. The Gateron Brown switches make typiong a real pleasure. When you get used to the slightly smaller layout I find the typing experience is superior.

I also like the fact that you can associate the keyboard with upto three separate Bluetooth devices. I'd always slightly looked down my nose at people who had illuminated keybaords, but actually find the LEDs fun (and at least you can disable them with a single keystroke).

The keyboard itself feels really sturdy and well made and so I am quite happy slinging it in my backpack. I also like the fact that it comes with both Windows and Mac keycaps.

There's also a slightly retro feel about the design of the keycapys: they remind me of an old fashioned terminal from my youth like the Tektronix 4010.

So in summary, an absolutely cracking keyboard. Would recommend to anybody.

This is my first purchase of a mechanical keyboard, I'm very impressed with the service from keyboardco and with the K8 itself, it feels like a solid unit and is very high quality. Typing feels great, and much more enjoyable compared to the cheap keyboards I have been using for years. A satisfied customer!

The keyboard company are an amazing vendor if your looking to buy the Keychron K8 pro and reside in the UK! I was constantly kept up to date on the status of my package and it arrived in reasonable time. The parcel was well packaged and in general the service was brilliant.

The keyboard itself is an extremely good product for the price range. The product feels premium and I've had a great typing experience with it so far. The sound profile of the keyboard is not that loud and will be suitable for a work from home setup. The space bar sounds quite louder compared to the rest of the keyboard which i disliked but was easily able fix this by putting some of the foam it comes with in the space bar.

The lubed switches give a nice sound profile but their tactility is minimal and feels more like linear switch's. This is not really much of an issue for me however because the keyboard is hot swappable and it does still feel good to type on.

I like to use the keyboard in wired mode and was a tad concerned initially about the micro USB C ports being at the side but I've got to say this is no longer an issue for me as I barely notice the wire when using it.

Overall I would definitely recommend this keyboard and buying from Keyboard Co

First of all, like so many others have said, the service was brilliant. I emailed Bruce a couple of times and got a lot of information to help me choose. Many thanks to Bruce and the team!

Before I talk about the keyboard, I'll say that this is my first mechanical keyboard, so I'm not an expert. For the past 2-3 years I've had a Logitech MX Keys and other Logitech keyboards before that.

The K8 feels very well made. It's quite heavy, and the aluminium frame makes it feel more premium. I read that people have had issues with bluetooth connectivity, but I haven't faced any such issues - but I also don't do any gaming. I had more problems with Logitech's dongle, which meant I had to get a USB extension and stick it right in front of me on the desk. I am using the keyboard with my personal PC and work's MacBook Pro and I've had no issues at all with either.

The feel is very good and combined with the sound they keys make, it is a very satisfying experience. All the keys feel familiar and nothing is out of place. The F keys are not aligned the same way as they are on the MX Keys, but that's just Logitech being silly with their placement. Non-issue for me as I hardly ever use them. As a 95%- of-the-time-touch-typist, I'm very satisfied with this keyboard.

One of the small issues that I have which I am sure I can solve it if I play around with VIA (the config utility) is that on the Mac I have a couple of keys that have switched place (the key to the left of 1 with the key to the left of Z). Also, I customised some shortcuts so that I could have the Ctrl+cursor keys on the Mac move the cursor like in Windows (ie move the cursor a whole word left or right) and that shortcut now seems to have switched to Option+cursor keys for some reason. Like I said, I'm sure I can get to the bottom of this, but haven't had the time.

The one thing that I find jarring coming from a low profile keyboard is how high the keys are on this keyboard - and indeed most other mechanical keyboards. This means that a palm rest is unavoidable... There's a Xmas idea for me then!!

One last thing about the switches. I got the Browntactile switches. Although I work from home with no one to bother, the noise level is not a problem at all. It is noisier than the MX Keys, but not to the point that would annoy someone. It is on par - if not quieter - with most cheap keyboards you'll find at workplaces. My son has a Keychron K2v2 with Red switches and if I'm honest, there's not a massive difference. They are a bit more tactile, but nothing too dramatic.

This keyboard is so good I bought a second! Both Gateron Brown.

I use the Aluminium with RGB option at home for gaming and programming. You can plug it in quickly enough via the USB-C for competive games and leave it wireless any other time. I don't bother with the RGB tho.

QMKVIA is great; I said in the other review, rebind some Fn layers to F13-24 for simple shortcuts in apps. For example I bound the Discord Mute and Defean to F13 and F14, bound to layer 34 of the mute key. really simple and no shortcut conflicts!

Typing is great too, I moved from a low profile keyboard (g915). Overall I highly recommend.

Got this keyboard a few days ago for working from home. The keyboard itself is very high so likely best paired with a wrist rest, otherwise a fantastic choice for something Im using for way too many hours etc day.

Really Impressed with the the Keyboard Company and will definitely use them again. I got the Keychron K8 Pro, it was sold out at most other retailers and was also more expensive at those other retailers. My keyboard was delivered really quickly and there has been no issues what-so-ever. I was sent a follow up email to make sure everything was ok with the product. Genuinely impressed with the Keyboard Company, it can't be easy to compete with massive retailers in the IT market, but the Keyboard Company blows the others out of the water with its range and service. As I said at the start, I would definitely use them again.

First thing, the service received has been amazing. I was kept up to date over Christmas (Martin was checking emails over Christmas break and kept me up to date with my order) - I got the keyboard when I was told I would receive it.

I've been using mechanical keyboard for quite some time (mainly the likes of SteelSeries, Corsair, Razer etc - nothing enthusiast) and I can say that this keyboard blows all of them out of the water.

The keyboard feels really well made, it's sturdy, it doesn't feel nor sound cheap. I went for the Hotswap Gateron Brown switches, which feel smooth but have a slight tactile bump which I like.

With the hot-swappable switches, you can customise the sound & feel of the keyboard at your own will too. With the RGB LEDs being south facing, you should be able to get the majority of switches without any interference.

The only issue I've had is with the USB-C connector. It could be that I didn't research well enough, but the USB-C connector on the keyboard is slightly recessed inwards, so not every USB-C is compatible due to that. I bought a right-angled USB-C adapter for my coiled cable, and it didn't work out of the box. I slightly filed the adapter's plastic housing down and it now works fine, so this is more of a heads up - I'm sure there are compatible adapters out of the box.

As for Bluetooth, I never really bought this keyboard for the functionality so I cannot comment on it as I've not tried it.

Overall, I cannot fault Keyboard Co at all. Exceptional customer service, really quick delivery times. Will definitely be buying from here again. The keyboard is solid, definitely the best one I've used thus far.
