SMD-LED compatible switches are the best for showing the backlights.

This is an excellent keyboard. I wanted a compact mechanical keyboard that was wireless, and had a proper UK Mac layout. The Keychron not only fits my requirements, but is a joy to type on. The arrow keys and bottom row of the numpad in the compact layout take a bit of getting used to, but have become quick with a bit of practice. My one complaint is that the operator layout on the numpad doesn't match the normal Mac layout which made it difficult to use until I remapped it and changed the keycaps. But I couldn't properly replicate the standard layout since the '+' is double-height on the K4. But I've got it close enough (it's having the '*' and '' in the correct places that is most important for me). Overall a really well designed keyboard for an extremely reasonable price! I can see myself buying another Keychron keyboard in the future

I looked for ages for a mechanical keyboard with number pad and then found this one.
My first foray into mechanical keyboards and I really like it.
It was easy to set up. With the rgb version you can easily choose just white leds so its not too showy in an office.
The keys feel nice, the sound is nice and its had several comments on how good it looks.
It is harder to use than a full size and has taken a bit of getting used to.
As yet Ive not changed anything about it but I will probably buy some new key caps purely to change the look but the brown switches feel nice, its weighty and has been faultless so far in wireless mode.
Would buy a Keychron again

This was my first mechanical keyboard as something of an experiment and I definitely don't regret it. Much more solidly built than the wireless Logitech one my work had provided which flexed in the middle. The keys sound very satisfying compared to cheaper keyboards and it's great that it's hot-swappable as I plan to try out different switches to see if I'd prefer linear or clicky ones. I found the shades of grey hard to tell apart unless really well lit so I ordered a replacement set of keycaps from Etsy that were white and blue and the contrast is much easier to see even though it was US ISO rather than UK ISO sadly.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upgrade - if you're anything like me it will become a new hobby probably!

I'm delighted with this keyboard. It's a bargain at under 100 quid and would recommend this to anyone. Especially as a first mechanical keyboard.
It was surprisingly good out of the box. Gateron browns are pretty smooth, with a light tactile bump. The stabilisers were quite well lubed from the factory. The bluetooth and RGB functions are good, too. the layout is fairly good and not hard to get used too. The thin keycaps with small legends are the only bit I didn't really like - but that's a preference thing.
It was easy and fun to mod (I would probably leave the battery in place if I did it again. It's hard to unplug and really well stuck down). With a silicone pour, tape mod, lubed switches with o-rings and some cheap PBT keycaps it looks and sounds lovely. Kind of a hard bottom-out, at this price I'm not complaining.
