I bought this keyboard for everyday typing and file editing that involves most of the keys on a full-size keyboard. The Origin shape feels a good fit for a small desk. It does not waste money on LEDs, status screens, fancy volume knobs or USB hubs. The Vintage colour looks right, this is how computer keyboards used to look a while ago. Typing is good, a few minor other things are not ideal, but for this price it can be forgiven:
1. The USB-C socket faces forward and takes unnecessary stress from the plug if the cable comes out of the centre; an easy workaround is to route the cable through the side.
2. The original rubber feet support the sides only, so there is a tiny sag and wobble in the centre; a few generic additional rubber feet solve that easily.
3. The specs and the label say it takes 1000mA, which looks off because the keyboard shows up on the bus as a USB 1 (12Mbs) HID with 100mA demand, so it is unclear which rating is correct. It works fine in a USB 2 port.
Also a mouse emulation mode is available via the keypad, I suppose it could be useful as an emergency substitute if the mouse breaks and the OS does not have a mouse emulation feature. The built-in macro language seems to be a spillover from gaming keyboards firmware and can be ignored.
