This purpose made key puller was designed for the Matias range of professional keyboards, but will work equally well for all keyboards, push the appropriate end over the key then pull upwards and the key top should come away from the keyboard.
The smaller end has a 12mm gap and the larger end has a 25mm gap, this key puller works well for removing just the outer key cap from IBM and Unicomp keyboards.
