My second filco keyboard for second office desk - first also bought from keyboardCo 10 years ago and still going strong. Also bought a third majestouch tenkeyless as a gift for my brother. I swear by the brand, solid feeling build quality, heavy, sober conservative styling (not into RGB gaming nonsense), got to have just one with the satisfying blue switch clickiness even though not so good for shared spaces or zoom calls. Thanks keyboardco, solid distributor of a good value for money product

Probably the best keyboard I own, and I specify and purchase all high-end hardware in my job.
Improves accuracy, audible and haptic feedback really good. Solid quality heavy base, dish on keycaps reasonably good.
Ninja keycaps reduces password theft (and keyboard pilfering)!
Quality deep symbol print.
Might go for the non Ninja keycaps as I touch type and have to take hands-off for some unusual symbol keys.
Might also go for a tenkeyless model for cramped desks.
One thing I note is for my PC, post-power-up, I must toggle offon the keyboard to switch it on - presumably because of USB hub and distance from unit whereas old backlit Roccat did not need that.
Originally wanted MX greens but the blues are perfect for all day coding.
Agree the USB cable could be longer and if it were detachable that would save on longevity issues.
Could do with a fancy multi-function wheel and backlightingUSB passthrough like the DAS (which doesn't have Ninja key option).
Well packaged and delivered in good time by a courier that actually turned up.
Good company, excellent selection.

I like this keyboard a lot. I really don't like the over-the-top designs of a lot of keyboards, I don't like LEDs in my keyboards, and I don't need macro buttons since I use a Razer Orbweaver.

This keyboard is a great alternative. It's very heavy, extremely well-built, and great to use. I bought some red o-rings to dampen the noise a bit since this one was for the office - I have the tenkeyless model at home and it's a lot louder without them if you habitually bottom out like I do.

My only complaint is that the plastic the key caps are made from gets quite shiny over time from the grease on your hands. This really doesn't suit the very minimalist aesthetic that they're going for on this board.

I did find that some of the keys with a stabiliser bar were a bit squeaky. I fixed it by applying a tiny amount of lithium grease to the white plastic hooks and the stabiliser.

Firstly, this keyboard arrived on time, packaged both thoughtfully and with care for my products and the environment.

I've had nice boards in the past. I've tended to purchase more gaming-orientated keyboards where the focus is on pacakging, colours and materials. On unboxing my Filco board, I was pleased but underwhelmed. The money that I paid had definitely not been spent on graphic design or branding.

The box is nice and sturdy, has a picture of the keyboard on it and a few labels. Buying a solid, professional quality keyboard, I can't see why you'd want anything else.

Once the board is out of the box, I really noticed the weight, the quality of finish and the overall look of the board. Being a 'ninja' (side-printed) board it's not breath-taking to look at, unless you really have a thing for the colour black. I immediately plugged it in to my Mac, quickly configured my modifier keys and began typing. I've not been using a mech board at this office yet and was acutely aware that it's really loud compared to my previous rubbish Mac keyboard that had long outstayed it's welcome on my desk.

I also purchased some red o-rings and found they made a difference to both the feel of the key travel and the overall volume and sound quality of my board. It's retained it's 'click' but is enough quieter to not feel anti-social in such a quiet office. I much prefer the feel of the keys with a little dampening at the bottom of their travel.

Getting acquainted with the ninjaside-printed keys took very little time. Having spent a little time getting to know each other, I'm typing much faster and noticeably more accurately. I think this is going to be my daily driver for a long time!

My only criticism of this board, and I knew the situation before I purchased: the USB cable isn't removable. To remedy this I've purcahsed a 3rd party cable that can be retro-fitted and allows you to disconnect the bulk of the cable to make moving the board around easier. I don't think I'll be doing it often, but it looks cool - in all honesty I'll probably just buy a second one for home!

Good Keyboard.
From a software developers point of view:
I think my Model M is slightly better as the keys are stiffer.
The build quality is 100% better than a Unicomp.
Very Heavy, however had to ensure desk had no polish on it to stop keyboard moving around. Used a pencil eraser to do this

What an excellent piece! I was very excited to order this model and can now see that my choice was as optimal as it could have been.

The beauty of this keyboard is in its simplicity - its design is completely classical, while the side-printed keycaps only add to the visuals by taking a step back in a good way. I wanted something exactly like this. The lack of backlighting is something that might throw some people off, but if you are used to this classical shape and form, you should be all good even while using the KB in the darkness.

My particular model came with the MX Blue switches, which I hoped would feel great - and they really do. The clicky feeling is very enjoyable and responsive. I had some idea of what I am after, though, so I can only speak for the Blues. I am also not a mech KB specialist, but can definitely appreciate the experience regardless.

In terms of quality, the product seems impeccable to me - very sturdy - there is no audible rattle when you hold the KB up and shake it. The buttons feel robust and durable. They keycaps feel nice to the touch. Typing is a joyful experience. My only critique would be that the cable could be a tad bit longer (it is just perfect for me at the moment, but if I had to go a few centimeters further I would have had a problem), and it could also be detachable out-of-the-box. Perhaps this is something that can be implemented in a further release of this model. In my case everything fits very well, though, so no real complaint here.

After many years of using normal, non-mech KBs, I think my entry choice was the best I could have made with this model and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone that might be considering it. I could have went with a mainstream gamer's choice, but had a feeling that Filco would offer something more subtle, yet of better quality. Less flashiness and more reliability.

The parcel delivery from Keyboard Co. was also exactly on time and reliable.
