German Matias Quiet Pro for PC - FK302QPC-DE

It's really quiet.
Mechanical keyboards offer the best performance, but they’re noisy - too noisy to use in most offices, or around other people. This is the first one that’s quiet. Over two years in the making, it's the only mechanical keyboard that keeps both your fingers and your co-workers happy.

3 extra USB 2.0 ports.
Some keyboards have 2 USB ports - most have none. We’re giving you three! You can plug in flash drives, digital cameras, your mouse, and more.

Laser etched keys.
All those symbols are handy, but what happens when they wear off? They won't. They're laser etched - burned into the keys with a laser - so they'll never wear off.

Sculpted keytops.
The latest trend in keyboards is to have very flat & wide keys, with little or no space between them. You see this a lot on laptops and netbooks. While they look great, they can also be a little tricky to type on. The flatness makes it very easy to slide out of home row and lose your bearings. The Quiet Pro bucks this trend. It has traditional sculpted keytops, curved to fit your fingertips, and keep you from sliding out of home position.

Audio & media controls.
Dedicated keys let you control Volume Up / Down / Mute. Plus, by holding down the Fn key you gain access to strategically located Pause / Play, Next Track, and Previous Track keys.

Tab key on the number pad.
For users who do a lot of spreadsheet work or accounting entries, we've added a Tab key to the number pad. It streamlines your data entry, and saves you time.

Ghosts busted.
Most keyboards allow only a few keys to be pressed at once, so they can't keep up with very fast typists. The result is called ghosting - letters missing from what you actually typed, or additional letters that you didn't type. The Quiet Pro has special Anti-Ghosting Circuitry to eliminate these problems. You can type as fast as you're able; the Quiet Pro will keep up.

German Matias Quiet Pro for PC - FK302QPC-DE

A great Keyboard for fast writers and software developers, as well as for casual gamers! Using the German AT 102 Layout since more then 30 years, I was really pi**** off, when my until then beloved Cherry G80-3000 series for the USB-versions moved the AltGr Key one position to the left and reduced the space bar. They obviously did it because of a (useless) additional Context Menu key for Windows. This change has not been a smart decision by my former favourite manufacturer. As a Software developer, I need the AltGr key exactly where it used to be since 1990! So I had to find another one and here it is: Matias from Canada. Only Matias is still manufacturing such layout, combined with equal-or-even-better switches, compared to what Cherry offered so far. And only keyboardco.com is shipping such with German layout.
All of the keys are well shaped and do not suffer from the occasional sleeve blockage that some other mechanical keyboards are notorious for.
The keys have super stable imprints, all letters still readable since years of heavy usage. One of my keyboards is up to 8 hours in use, 5 days a week, since over 5 or 6 years now.
And the Quiet Pro keys are more silent, even compared to the MX brown or black my colleague is using in the same room.
Not to talk about the smart idea of the integrated USB hub with well engineered socket positions. I like it!
And pricing? All times I planned to buy a PC full size keyboard with real MX brown switches and without Ghosting, I found the price is almost far beyound the Matias Quiet Pro!

So, regardless if I need the classic AT-102 layout, or not: Matias Quiet Pro was and still is the best choice!

While the clicks are somewhat more silent that other switches its not that noticeable. The keyboard also came with two buttons giving double-presses from a single press around 10-15% time.
